lynxie 0 #1 September 27, 2004 Do you know the name of any books with a story about skydiving, or a story just about anything in life told in a skydiving environment? nacmacfeegle 0 #4 September 27, 2004 Try "Free Fall" by Tom Read. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews26781.html Factual account of one guy's struggle with depression around the time he was trying to organise a Joe Kittinger type high altitude record attempt. Not a bad book.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. beowulf 1 #5 September 27, 2004 Check out the book Endless Fall by Mike Swain. It is a bunch of short stories from Mike's good old days. I have read it multiple times and still enjoy it.

gremlin 0 #7 September 27, 2004 Have just finished reading Freefall by Tom Read (Nish Bruce) and it is a very good book - skydiving is a central theme but it is not just about that and is highly readable. Made me think.I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....
Rdy2skydive 0 #8 September 27, 2004 You have to read Falling Into Place by Rita Ippolitti. She enters skydiving close to age 40 and really really struggles. It's a great read full of hilarious accounts of her attempts to learn to skydive over 3 summers and several different programs at a number of different dropzones.
