eeneR 1 #1 May 6, 2005 No really, it seems when I am in pain my brain doesnt function. Over the last few weeks, it seems that the more my arm hurts the less concentration I have, and the shit I do is up there on the dumbass scale But the dilema...If I take pain killers, which I have been...and the dose is large enough it makes me stupid too....WTF! So am I better off blinded by pain, or doped up on drugs???? mnealtx 0 #3 May 6, 2005 Chicken or egg? Is there a happy medium, where the arm isn't hurting so bad you can't think, but you're not completely brain-fogged by the drugs?Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
Bouda 0 #4 May 6, 2005 i found that pain is a state of mind that you can erase at will when i was healing from getting shot i would just tell myself that it doesn't hurt a few times in a meditative state and it went away i can do it with fire to but the melting skin gets to you after a bit Look what i made at work today mom!! ChrisL 2 #5 May 6, 2005 In short, yes. My Dad is in the end stages of Hepatocellular Carcinoma. He has been in severe pain for quite some time, and even before they started treating his pain with hard core meds, the constant pain took its toll on Dads mental clarity. Pain most definitely dulls your mind and thought process.__ My mighty steed

Especially 1100mg of Naproxen a day, coupled with codiene as needed at night That just has to be tearing the shit out of my system She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
Rainbo 0 #7 May 6, 2005 Yeah girl, serious pain can incapacitate you more than just physically. Army did a bunch of studies on it at one time. Was the basis for several training programs they use today. But don't worry we will all still like you even if you are stupidRainbo TheSpeedTriple - Speed is everything "Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and take without forgetting." That dosage is just enough to keep it to a dull roar...it has been better lately, but is about to get worse. I hate taking meds big time, but I know I will have no choice in 2 weeks. Just sitting here and thought about it as I was clearing up for the end of the week at work, my quality has gone down a little, now granted I do have a double check system but it seems that Im making more mini booboos then normal. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto

DrunkMonkey 0 #13 May 6, 2005 Well, when I am in the throes of a severe allergy attack, I cannot concentrate. But put me on too much benadryl to quell the histhamines, and I am more than a bit phucked up.
