Apparently, I Have Really Big Cojones

Recommended Posts

The furnace guy was here this morning doing my Spring checkup. We started discussing the pictures of me skydiving that were on the wall. He said that he was afraid to get into an airplane, and if there were 1,000 people standing here only one or two would skydive...

Do you think that is true?

Maybe that's why I haven't been a successful skydiving evangelist.

But you always were one in a million.

She is truly : )

I'll second that! :)
But the statistic about 35,000, bla bla bla.... that's just registered with USPA, which means they most likely have their A license - 25 jumps. Think about all the one time jumpers that are out there that don't get passed the first jump. Thousands every weekend probabaly across the US. I think it would be closer to 1 in 35 standing in a group would skydive.

Well, that just means that I am a really bad salesman. I talk it up everywhere I go without success. I can't even get the 20-somethings here in the office to try it... [:/]

Yeah, it's true... I get a lot of people who say HELL YEAH I'd do that, that never show up. I must hand out 5 or 6 business cards a week for the dz. But I think it would be different if they were standing at the dz, with the opportunity in front of them, and it was free.

You've just got what it takes Jen. You are also a very nice lady. It was a pleasure to meet and jump with you in Z-hills.

Thanks Chuck! :)
***Did you tell the furnace guy you were on a 40-way wingsuit flock?

Nah!... It wouldn't have meant anything to him. But I did show him the picture that Scary Perry took of my first wingsuit jump that made it into Parachutist... He was duly impressed. B|

I just stopped playing "show me" games before I entered elementary school. :)

You must be very proud. I hope someday to be as mature.
