Soda Expiration Date

I have a chance to get a whole lot of Coke for free, the only catch is that it all expired April 3rd. Are there any risks to drinking this or does it only effect the taste of it?

Usually goes flat not too long after the expiration date. Also if it were sitting in the sun for too long, it goes bad a lot quicker. It's safe, just tastes strange.

When I was treeking in the Himalayas, occasinaly we found cans Coke for sale. Some of it was over a year past it's best by date. It was still fizzy, and it tasted OK (mind you any bit of energy would have at that time) and I am still alive.
