leoholanda 0 #1 May 1, 2007 Sorry if this has already been discussed. I promise I searched for the keywords "s-link", "slink", "softlink", "reserve" and "main" , and there was nothing about this. I would like to hear experts riggers opinion about using slinks made for reserve to a regular (not tandem) main parachute like a sabre. I know if something is not made for another thing it should not be used. I just like to know if someone can foresee any malfunction caused by use for reserve slink on main canopies, and why.Leo Holanda

riggerrob 561 #7 May 1, 2007 The only disadvantage - to installing reserve Slinks on a main - is that they are too bulky to hide with Slink Hats.
blitzkrieg 0 #8 May 1, 2007 FWIW i've been using reserve slinks on my Xaos mains for quite a long time with no problems. i don't notice the extra bulk at all.

I'm sure they are perfect. The point is I have an idle set of reserve slinks at home and the set installed on my main soon will need to be replaced.Leo Holanda
