I quit. Gotta get some work done. I looked up the person who wrote the puzzle and found a post from him about the DNA angle. He was talking about using a Modulo operator (function?) to convert strings of numbers to just 0, 1, 2, or 3, in order to represent A, C, T, or G in groups of five. Of course, the mod operator would not be necessary in this case. I guess you can then convert those codons to amino acids which are represented by unique identifying letters, and those letters might spell something. A small list of example amino acids are below. In any case, looking the guy up was kinda cheating, so that's it.

F phenylalanine
R arginine
B asparagine
P proline
U x
L leucine
A alanine
F phenylalanine
H histidine
P proline
O x
S serine
M methionine
L leucine
U x
C cysteine
N asparagine
I isoleucine
D aspartic acid
Y tyrosine
M methionine

Back up to 68 and you'll just owe her one.

omo is a detrgtant or valley in ethopia...

i dont see how that helps at all! :S

Are there periods between the O the M and the other O?

Could it be an acronym?

Very well may be.

anyone tried converting the letters to numbers?

i found a site that converted the letters to numbers with a = 0 but that was wrong..maybe its meant to start a=1 but im far too lazy to do all that by hand to get a wrong answer...

am i on the right track? only thing i can think of.
