Frontier Airlines will get you from DC to Portland.. It is a little over 100 miles to drive from there, but I was very happy with my flights..

Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

I think that will depend on the days you're traveling.
during the weekend usually is more expensive.
US airways flies to EUG; so you might check online.

I usually get my tickets at Travelocity, Yahoo travel or Orbitz.

You might try a discount airline to some place Southwest flies. South west often has cheep flights to PDX. then jump the Otter at Molalla Or and invit your Eugene friends to Molalla..

Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
