BillyVance 34 #30 July 2, 2007 Had a nasty storm come through my town yesterday. Knocked our power out for 5 hours. Before it went out, we had one huge lightning strike right there by our house. I don't know exactly where it hit but it was damn close enough that the thunder BOOM was instantaneous. My wife was cooking dinner on the stove and I was standing nearby. She said right at that moment she felt a good shock hit her in the upper leg. There was no visible evidence of it, but her leg felt weird for the next 30 minutes. Nothing else in the house was affected. So weird... lawrocket 3 #31 July 2, 2007 Quote 96 degrees in the shade!...real hot!.. in the shade! Whoa! Then get outta the shade!!! Fresno's got the calm before the storm right now. It's 87 degrees and 15% humidity. But it's expecting to peak at 108 on July 5 and 109 on July 6. That's not good. It'll only be 105 on Wednesday.
