Day 5 without a cigarette

So, was day 6 any better? I know there will still be plenty of hard ones ahead but I hope today was a little easier.

Thank you for asking. :)
Today has been bad. I feel sick. This is worse than kicking a drug habit.

Congrats on 9 weeks! Smile May I ask what your "extra" motivation is?

Lately, I tend to spend some time next to a pregnant woman...

Believe me, it is a drug habit.....nicotine is more addictive than heroin, just think about the crap people go through quitting that......smoked for roughly 10 years, quit cold-turkey once for nine months and the last time I used the patch on an excellerated program (I only ran through each phase for a week). The patches helped a lot. And it's still hard sometimes even though it's been a year, you get cravings every once in a while.......especially at the dz, a lot of people smoke there. But it's worth it. Just remember, you can do anything you put your mind to.
...and you're in violation of your face!

Wow... You're already doing better than I am... I quit yesterday and ended up smoking 3 yesterday[:/] Same thing again today. I think I'll try to keep it under 3 for tomorrow and make the 1st the new official quit day.

Anyone wanna bet me 100 bucks?

Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

Hey Lisa,

I'm rottin' for ya kiddo :)
I'm 26 now, and up until last year I smoked very heavily from the time I was 16; anywhere from a pack to 3 packs a day at times. Quit cold turkey when I began to have issues with breathing B|:| Keep it up :)

Thank you!! :)
And thank you to everyone for the support. It really does help. :)
I almost gave in yesterday because I was stressed out at work. Stuffed my face with food instead. :D

The irritablity is less, but the cravings are still the same.

Woohoo - day 10 B|

Be yourself!

That sounds painful.:P

Still, you guys are pretty impressive, in your various stages of quitting. It almost begs for a 'Smoke or Skydive' T-shirt.
Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here?

I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.

Are you saying that food tastes better to non smokers?
I'm confused... :D

I think so. I just thought maybe it was an Austrialian tradition to taste people as a greeting... And you'd be bringing it to the USA.

"Hello, we are Mr. and Mrs. Squeak" :P
