Best ever depiction of static line jumping in a movie

Recommended Posts

Well that was really good BUT the best depiction of a static line jump in a movie was done by John Wayne in the "Green Berets" when he left the plane without hooking it up. That one jump just went to prove why John Wayne was and always will be tougher than Superman's kneecaps.:)

Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

Never heard about that one.:D
I checked the trivia on IMDB about "Green Berets" and found this:

Late in the movie John Wayne can be seen to wrap his rappelling rope through a carabineer the wrong way. Called a "fatal hookup" in the Army, this would result in an immediate fall once weight was applied.

I suppose a little climbing fall is trivial if you can jump from a plane w/o a deployment.:D
