karma 3 #2 March 10, 2006 They come with the container. If you buy a used container the seller should include these items.
BIGUN 1,069 #3 March 10, 2006 You may be better off negotiating, rather than demanding. Usually when one buys a main, they get main canopy & toggles. Risers and P/C may be negotiable. D-Bags are usually not as they tend to go with the rig - but can be negotiable. Discuss, stipulate & get it in writing.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

riggerrob 558 #9 March 10, 2006 Parachute Industry Association document TS102 says that canopy manufacturers are supposed to supply: canopy, lines, slider, diaper (usually sewn onto rounds) and links, Harness/container manufacturers are responsible for everything else. Sometimes second-hand main canopies are sold with 3-ring risers because: A - it is a nuisance swapping risers B - main irsers are high wear items that only last 600-ish jumps C- usually you can swap risers between different harnesses. Ask your local rigger about the subtlties of RSL compatiblity, etc. Main d-bags and pilot chutes should definitely stay with the container. Demand is too strong a word. Negotiate sounds better especially when you ask him to knock $100 off the price because the main risers are frayed or missing.
