Dammit not again

Recommended Posts

I was forced to quit 27 years of jumping last Nov due to issues from my back injury......now....I am scheduled to have another back surgery Monday morning. Fuck me.
I just want to reinforce something I told my students for years. That ground out there is damn hard, dont fuck this jump up.LOL

Sorry to hear you've been ground bound Bozo, I hope your operation gose well. Any chance this might correct the problem enough to be able to once again fly?

Wish you the best & a speedy recovery.

Ugh. My back muscles are tensing up just reading the words "back surgery."

Crossing everything that six months from now you'll be glad you had this one done...

Lisa , I swore I wasnt gonna have any more surgeries , but this new Dr I have, a Russian by the way, swears he can give me a relief from the neverending pain. I will keep you posted.

Thanks man. As for coming back to jumping...I think I used all my spare lives up.
As a sidenote I sold all my rigging tools on Ebay to a guy who lives there on Oahu with you.

Sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, my leg still stays swollen up after 8 months and I'm working full time.

Yeah...it seems injuries stay with you forever.
I broke my ankle on my first jump....the pic I have of it is identical to the one in Twardos thread. Anyway, 27 years later I still feel the pain from that ankle at times.

Boz,

I hope you have the relief that the good Doc says you will.

It would be so nice to be able to actually sleep, wouldn't it?

I'll be keeping you in the forefront of my thoughts.

Bozo-

I don't know how bad your back is, but Janna has 3 fused Vertebrae from a skydiving injury and still trains with a team ( 8 - 12 jumps per day).

And her DOB is before the DOM on the panel of my first cheapo!

Good luck & blue skies.

Just think of the reception you'd get.

Is he going to put one of these things to support/fuse the vertebrae?(see pic)

Nope. I already had those. 14 inches long. They took'em out years ago. They are going to kill the nerves to stop the pain.
