Jesus Christ. I hate WoW.

I hate it so much, that I went out and bought the expansion last week. I thought I had quit that shit for good. I quit it once, then quit it again and thought i was done, as i legitimately hated the thought of playing it.

So, if you are around, hit me up.

Cashmanimal- lvl 60 Night Elf Warrior, Burning Legion PvP server
Alorae (Main)- lvl 62 Night Elf Druid (Feral spec for leveling), Balnazzar PvP server
Aelius (New Alt) - lvl 16 (as of 5/1) Darenei Mage, the Underbog PvP server

I hate this shit.

I just read back through this thread and it seriously made me laugh.

Part of me is glad I don't play anymore, I mean you can only justify so much of your life spent to getting pretty new clothes for your cyber barbie doll.

Besides, BC will just piss you off, when you start popping Purps for green trash.

I may pick it back up someday, if for nothing but the PvP stress relief, but for now, life nether affords me the time nor willingness to play.

i agree... it's hard to vendor all your old gear, possibly even epics, for greens that drop off everyday mobs that are better.

But they DO make my cyber-barbie look much prettier...

I don't play like I used to. TBC is just more of the same and I feel there isn't much different from what the original game was. The bigger PvE stuff isn't well tested and fairly boring outside of one or two cool encounters. The only good thing I like in it now is the PvP. So I log in while watching TV to play a couple quick matches against other people....and since most of it is in short 2 minute bursts it fits well with my attention span and the hours of my job/social life.

WoW player harrasses woman in-game, gets beat up by woman's husband IRL

Posted May 01, 2007 at 07:15PM by Karl B.

Bronco Carson, a World of Warcraft player from Mexico, reported to police on Saturday that three men broke into his home and beat his arms with clubs and totalled his computer. The reason? Carson had been repeatedly ganking the WoW character of the wife of one of his assailants.

Carson reportedly told police that he had been "making it hard for her to get far in the game." The woman had already threatened Carson online, and Carson said that he had already been constantly harassed in-game two weeks prior to the attack.

And then Carson made the mistake of giving the woman his address, telling the woman that "if her husband was man enough to just come meet me to settle this."

The result? Carson got two broken fingers and a fractured wrist during the assault. His computer and entertainment center were also totalled by his three attackers before they left. "I knew that I might be messed with in the game but I didn't really expect her husband to come looking for me," said Carson. "I couldn't have been more wrong."

Now let this be a lesson to everybody. Taunting people behind the relative safety of the Internet may be fun, but don't be stupid enough to give out your real home address. If you do, then it's a whole new ballgame.

"Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them."

That has to be fake. Someone got jumped because they ganked someone's wife in game? For those that don't know that term, it means a player vs player (PVP) situation in a last man standing situation....these are not always fair matchups either.

Heh, someone took that South Park and Simpson episode a bit too literal (or the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back)

The guy didn't learn much from playing PvP did he?!?

If you are going to gank, you gotta expect the other side is going to come back with friends at some point.

Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't start a camp fire.

Heh, they don't call it World of Warcrack for nothing :P

I've let my sub lapse. Started to get a bit dull, although I bought TBC about 3 minutes after release :$ :geek:

I tend to prefer the pub option now :)
68 gnome rogue (Kilrogg EU)
70 dwarf hunter (Kilrogg EU)
19 human mage twink (Kilrogg EU) - cost me about 1k gold :o fucking rocks in PvP though, get a premade together and he's usually top of the scoreboard :)36 gnome mage (some random RP realm, dunno the name)

Yeah I gave it up too. I cancelled my sub because I didnt have time to play it. I have a 67 rogue on kil'jaeden and a bunch of low levels on various different servers.

I think Ill wait for diablo3 to come out before venturing out into the gaming world again. :)

It's an evil game that you should stop playing! Too damn addictive. I played it for about 2.5 years and did all the end game stuff and competed for the "records" aka epeen.

A pally eh? Figured you would go Night Elf Druid and play kitty.

edit: AoC is a nice change of pace from that game btw. Lots of fun despite the bugs. I'd talk about Warhammer but I'm still under the beta NDA.

I played it a bit I was what the heck was I the cow looking dude and a druid, but I didn’t really get in to it way too many quests. I don’t have the patience for it so I had it for a month got to L27 and then just stopped playing.

I can see why people would love it it is done very well, just not my thing.

I never really paid attention to 95% of the quests. I installed a mod that had all the answers next to the text quest and would put an arrow on my map on where to go next. I already knew the lore so doing the quests was like reading a book in slow motion. Plus I fully customized my UI to remove some of the more painful elements of gameplay. I made up into part of Sunwell and called it quits out of boredom.

You finally cut the cord? Congrats.

I've been WoW free for over a year now.

So nice.

I originally quit the game shortly after you did since it got really boring after a bunch of you left. Then all my local friends started to play more and they asked me to play with them.....and then they all quit. So ya, wasn't much to stick around for anymore.
