Lyrics to the first song. WTF?[:/]

Sugarcubes
Life's Too Good (1988)
Birthday

Bjork

She lives in this house over there
Has her world outside it
Scrapples in the earth with her fingers and her mouth
She's five years old

Thread worms on a string
Keeps spiders in her pocket
Collects fly wings in a jar
Scrubs horse flies
And pinches them on a line
Ohhh...

She has one friend, he lives next door
They're listenening to the weather
He knows how many freckles she's got
She scratches his beard

She's painting huge books
And glues them together
They saw a big raven
It glided down the sky
She touched it
Ohh...

Today is a birthday
They're smoking cigars
He's got a chain of flowers
And sows a bird in her knickers
Ohhh...

They're smoking cigars
They lie in the bathtub
A chain of ... flowers

According to Björk, "Birthday" is a "tasteless pop song" about a five-year-old girl who has a love affair with the man next door, who is celebrating his fiftieth birthday.[1] The chorus features Björk singing a wordless melody with a distinctive loudness and force of voice. This song was most recently covered by The Mars Volta.

I went to a Bjork show at Red Rocks and had a good time. Unlike most concerts I go to, the kids and the people were very nice to each other, people were hugging friends and respectful of strangers. I'm sure some of the love was drug-related :D but it's amazing to see a crowd of people anymore that isn't trying to kill each other.

It's also the last time I've been at Red Rocks. They were darn-near doing a body-cavity search on everyone going in. Bjork didn't want cameras, everyone had to throw out their water - it was worse than the security line at the airport. She's a odd one for sure, but I like her music.
Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
