SarahC07 0 #1 January 20, 2009 I'm running Vista and I'm trying to create a custom dynamic stamp in Adobe Acrobat 8 professional. To edit the javascript fields of my newly created custom dynamic stamp I have to open the stamp. Problem - Adobe is saving my custom stamp to a folder that I can't find. Any ideas? If I was running XP I could do this. HELP

skittles_of_SDC 0 #3 January 20, 2009 Adobe makes a whole lot of programs. You are going to have to be more specific than just 'Adobe 8 Professional'. Do you mean Acrobat 8 Professional? If so try searching program files in that folder to see if you can find it. or search for it using the computers search function. I'm pulling all this out of my ass of course because I use a Mac. normiss 622 #4 January 20, 2009 I've not had any issues with Vista. None. Can you not change the "save to" directory under the program options? I had this same "weirdness" running Wireshark (the new Ethereal) and it was trying to save capture files to the outlook temp folder that is a phantom or ghost folder. Not sure it was related to Vista though as Vista wasn't the installer....Wireshark was.
SarahC07 0 #5 January 21, 2009 Yes. It's Acrobat 8 pro, pardon me. If anyone has successfully created a custom dynamic stamp with javascript enabled in acrobat 8 professional, please PM me. I've googled. And I've searched my C drive for newly created .pdf files. Both of these attempts failed. thanks.

It's actually kind of funny, but I hate when people say things like, "Do you have Adobe?" Most of the time I tell them, "Yes, I have the entire corporation." Pretty much the same kind of response that comes to mind when people say that they "have the Internet." I tell them, "I had the Internet, but I accidentally deleted it." I've read both of those - they did not solve the file saving issue. This may actually be an issue with Vista.
normiss 622 #9 January 21, 2009 meh. ALL my Adobe works just fine with Vista. Fireworks included...just had to make a few changes in file locations.
