Elisha 1 #1 January 27, 2009 Hi, I'm trying to change my cookie settings in Firefox and the Privacy tab doesn't show up. I click on it and nothing happens. Is there a file somewhere that I need to change and can I right-click and change something in about:config? This is my home personal pc, so I don't know why this has happened. Maybe due to something I've downloaded recently. Thanks.

Often when I click on 'Bookmarks' to drop down the list of bookmarks, Firefox instead offers me the 'Add to Bookmarks/ Page Bookmarked' box, which is normally top of the list on the drop-down list. 2. Often when clicking 'File' with the intention of opening a new tab, Firefox opens a completely new window. Interestingly, the 'New Window' option is also normally top of the list on the drop-down menu that should appear. Oh, well!'To fly is heaven, to freefall is divine' 'You only need 2 tools. regulator 0 #5 January 28, 2009 First like Bunge said..make sure you have admin rights. Then you can simply go to the add/remove programs applet and remove it ...only make sure you have another web brower installed...(IE7) or download the most current version of firefox before you remove it. Re-install it and you should be able to access that tab. But umm...the only reason MOST people use that is for hiding their history from their spouses....you trying to hide some porn sites from your spouse? Just curious. Andy9o8 0 #7 January 28, 2009 I find Firefox does 2 things I don't like: (1) On DZ.com, when I'm typing a post in the text box, whenever I try to insert a code (e.g., "quote", "reply", "bold", etc.), it always bounces it down to the end of the text, even when I try to insert it up-text somewhere. (2) Firefox never seems to be able to open a PDF document - no matter which version I'm using, or which computer I'm using it on. I do like Firefox's ad-blocker, though. That's pretty nice. That is a function of your settings, not the version. Well, by default, it said "use Adobe Acrobat in Firefox." I've now switched it to "Use Acrobat Reader 7.0" And that seems to have fixed it! So, thank you! Now fix my problem #(1)!
