Rookie120 0 #3 June 22, 2011 I was a fan until that VH1 episode cam out and showed what a bunch of bitches they became. Jason (The ex-bass player) said it best. When they brought in that shrink he thought that was really weak. All the stuff they been through and they bring in this asshat? WTF!If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! Shotgun 1 #4 June 22, 2011 30th anniversary? Damn, now I feel old. I liked them a lot back then, had their first four albums and saw them in concert several times. I sort of lost interest with "The Black Album," though I did see them on that tour too. I rented the "Some Kind of Monster" documentary a few years ago, and I thought it was very good. (Edit: And it's an interesting contrast to the "Cliff 'Em All" video from the 80's, which I still have a VHS copy of.) My favorite songs are probably "Jump in the Fire" and "Master of Puppets." Although I agree the people in the band became a bunch of bitches, it doesn't change the quality of the music they produced. It's still good music. I still remember falling asleep to Sandman & the rest of the Black Album as a kid.

Coreece 190 #11 June 23, 2011 Quote I still remember falling asleep to Sandman & the rest of the Black Album as a kid. Say your prayers little one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2jfV1DzcuQ The black album was what got me into Metallica...I remember the level meters on my stereo blowing off the charts! I soon bought all the albums... I was lucky enough to buy the original kill em'all album that included "blitzkreig" and "am I evil" for only $8...A great colectors item for any metallica fan. It's hard for me to pick a favorite song, but Kill em' all is my favorite album and brings back great happy summer childhood memories... Ride the Lighting comes in next, but it reminds me of good times during the darker dreary fall and winter months. Master of puppets is just pure emotion and reminds me of Highschool football... ...And Justice for All is basically the best album ever made, technically speaking...Pure genius! The Black Album started it all for me... I always maintained my loyalty and chreish my college memories with Load and Reload...I remember walking by all of our women's dorms unbeknownst on the way to class as they blasted metallica out of their windows...me and my buddy would fist bump..."look what we've created"St. Anger Rocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8funDQxAGw And as for Death Magnetic, what can I say...the day that never comes...Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...
