CanuckInUSA 0 #1 June 28, 2012 Even though I only lived there for 2.5 years from 1998 through to the summer of 2000, I have the people who live in the northwest Colorado Springs community of "Mountain Shadows" very much on my mind today. I was shocked to open up a news story only to see the townhome complex I once lived in so close to the fires. http://nationalpostnews.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/wild-fires-usa09.jpg With hundreds of homes already lost, words can not describe the devastation the effected families must be going through now. http://www.denverpost.com/wildfires/ci_20962119/colorado-wildfire-waldo-canyon-fire-officials-confirm-hundreds http://photos.denverpost.com/mediacenter/2012/06/photos-waldo-fire-aerial-photos-by-the-denver-post-staff/38644/ It is such a pretty area of the world. ryoder 1,397 #2 June 29, 2012 All these fires are getting old. I'm getting smoke right now from the Flagstaff Fire. They expect to have it fully contained by Saturday."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
