LouYoung 0 #1 June 30, 2004 Now I know why Slinks work so well. The more you screw with them the tighter they get. Any tips on removing the slinks without getting super frustrated and taking a pair of scissors to them?
Hooknswoop 19 #2 June 30, 2004 They should come un-done easily. If they are tough to un-do, flex them back and forth a bit to loosen them up. Derek
brits17 0 #3 June 30, 2004 Hehe, its a little difficult without diagrams. Your first step is to bring the loop back over the tab. No special tips on how to do this but you should be home free from there. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
GravityGirl 0 #4 June 30, 2004 You can use a packing tool to get into the loop if it is pretty tight and you have thick fingers. Then just pull it around the tab. And as someone said. Flex it back and forth for a bit to loosen it up first. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

Hooknswoop 19 #7 June 30, 2004 QuoteA Cypres screwdriver works wonders. Be very careful w/ a screwdriver as they can damage the Slink. A rawhide mallet and a few light hits will loosen a Slink or knot making it possible to untie/remove. Derek

Kris 0 #9 July 1, 2004 Quoteyou don't have these problems with french links. True, but Maillon Rapide links can be over-tightened caushing the barrel to crack, they're bulky, if you lose a bumper they can nick the slider grommets, and they're not as strong as Slinks.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
