Heya!

vid looks awesome, would have liked to have seen some back flips or something,
if game has no back flips and front flips and twists it'll be a flop lol, so please include them in the next preview video.

also if its not to big a hassle make the pilot chute so its a right hand grab.

I don't want to have to run around the house impersonating this game and having to reach back with my left hand to grab my imaginary pilot chute.

keep up the good work,

Also would be cool if the jumper said "3 2 1 cya"
just before he jumped.
also more realistic if the good jumpers said "aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi" lol

That, I believe what to use glide ratio - a preferable variant. We have already got skilled at to model vertical falling, using terminal velocity as key parameter for calculation of acceleration of a jumper. For adjustment of physics only it will be better, if such initial parameters will be less.

Probably, as on wings the jumper flies on the same model, only vertical speed is reduced up to 30-40mph, and glide ratio accordingly increases up to 3-4.

To keep it realistic:

Current max wingsuit glide is about 2.5. Vertical speeds are indeed 30..40mph.

Max glide without a wingsuit is just over 1, and it takes 8+ sec to get flying.

Sounds great, I'd be keen to see how well ya's do the lighting for the cave.
are ya's taking any locations from the public ?

Like if enough people requested a site would it make it into the game or the next game ? (hopeing this 1 is a success and makes a second game)


I think the twinfalls bridge would be good, seeing as though its in pretty much every video these days lol.

Well, there are another tower in KL, except for Petronas Twins. ;) The problem is that KL is too complicated for modeling, whether we yet have not decided to make finally this location to release, but as expansion pack - i'm sure we will.

The same concerns also Yosemite park - most likely as expansion pack.

I'm not sure if that something you consider but you could make the format of the 3d world public and then get peolple create new "map" for the game. Somekind of SDK if you will. Like you see people creating new Quake maps you could imagine peolple creating new model map for the game. B|

from my understanding of bridge day (having never been there) if the game was to have a multiplayer bit so its like bridge day, then ya would need the game to have an SMS function, so it can SMS you and let you know an hour before its your turn to jump lol :S

If you search for "physics for game developers" on Amazon you will find a few books containing physics primer for all sorts of motion, including some C++ codes.

Solving diff equation for flying at 24 frames a sec is not a problem on current PCs and is not much more difficult than using those simple models discussed before.
