QuoteSkydiver gets stuck on TV transmitter VLASIM/LIBLICE, Central Bohemia (PDM staff with CTK) 29 August - A parachutist jumped from a television transmitter in Liblice yesterday morning, but his jump did not succeed as his parachute got entangled in a rope. The parachutist remained suspended in air foar about an hour, the spokesman for the local firefighters Ladislav Krivan told the Czech News Agency. The firefighters had to disentangle him with a helicopter. The skydiver stayed 270 metres above the ground, roughly 85 metres under the top of the tower. One of the firefighters suspended himself on a rope from the helicopter and went to him with the help of a crane. He tied him to himself, cut off the parachute ropes and then they landed. No one was injured, Krivan said. The firm Ceske radiokomunikace - JTR will sue the man. In the past two months, three people have tried the jump there.
