Back a few pages you accused me of lacking empathy. I have empathy.....for the young wife with two small children who saw their young father gunned down for a few bucks by crackheads. I have empathy......for the families of elementary school children who now have to deal with young addicts because of scumbags like the criminal whose life you value so highly. I have empthy.......for the parents of the young girl who was raped, tortured and dismembered.


I have no empathy for the animals who perpetrate evil on this world.

I find it laughable because I have seen so many anti-religious threads here. If the universe is an accident, there is no right or wrong, only lawful and unlawful.

In this case, it was lawful.

Most of his children have willingly joined his cause. They are as bad as he is.

I find it laughable that this group is saying it is right or wrong. Who made this group the ultimate judge of what is right or what is wrong? Is there a source that you have that says what is right or wrong (good or evil)? The only thing that can be debated here is was it legal or not.


It is their country and it is legal there.

Why don't you tell us what legal means you would use without violating the free speech rights of either side. What would be the basis of this almighty restraining order you would get.

That is the quandary we face in the US today.

I wasn't asking why she needed an ISP, I was asking why she needed Earthlink or AOL. I have broadband cable through my local cable TV. They are my ISP. I have been contacted by AOL and Earthlink (I had both at one time or another on dialup) and they tried to tell me how much I needed them on cable. With a basic ISP, a firewall, and virus software, I can't think of anything that Earthlink or AOL can offer on top of that that I cannot do for myself.

I did no realize that Earthlink was in the broadband business as a supplier.

If you have a cable connection, I don't think Earthlink or AOL or anyone else have anything of value to add for anyone with the tiniest bit of ability to surf the net. I dropped them like a hot potato as soon as I got on cable. They have nothing to offer that you cannot provide for yourself.

Just out of curiosity, if you have a cable connection, why do you need Earthlink or AOL or anyone else?

Don't count on it. I live in eastern Kansas and the liquor stores down this way are fighting to be open on Sundays to be able to compete with Missouri stores. As they succeed, as they are, I think you will see stores in adjacent counties wanting to be open on Sundays in order to compete with them.
