I agree with you about marketing or making what the consumer wants. I just heard another OnStar commercial for GM. Seems like they are trying to make that their biggest selling point. I could care less about OnStar, I have a cell phone. Make me a quality vehicle instead.

I had a Chevy Colorado as a work vehicle. Biggest piece of junk I'ver ever driven.

What unions should do – since they say they are the very best, most highly trained workers there are and produce the superior product – is to organize into a cooperative instead of a union. Then go to the company and say, “We have a product to offer you – our labor. We will take care of the benefits packages for the workers (who work for the cooperative, not the company), the salaries, everything. We will guarantee you a set amount of productivity per year (or month or whatever period of time) and quality. In exchange, you pay us x amount of dollars for that period of time.”

The companies (if they were foresighted) would realize that they have a guaranteed amount and quality of product and that they would not have to have the overhead of a large HR department, payroll department, etc.

Safe working environments could be negotiated as well as other facets of the job. Training could the responsibility of the cooperative.

Win – win for all.

Have "put up" with inlaws for 36 years now. Dad (father-in-law) passed away several years ago and Mom (mother-in-law) is in a nursing home. Would love to be able to be stuck at their house for Christmas - some great memories there.

The resource officer was female - and I have seen some 11-year olds that were close to 6' tall. It was all I could do to wrestle my 11-year old grandson when we were having fun. Hard to imagine what it would have been like if he was out of control.

I just got back to the states a couple of weeks ago from a business trip to Port Hedland. I was there just in time for Cyclone Emma to come thru. We only got the edge of it in Port Hedland, but that was my first experience with a cyclone, so it was interesting.

Enjoyed what I managed to see of Australia in the two weeks I was there (most of it in Port Hedland). I did get a day in Perth and another in Sydney.

One of the cases we looked at in Business Law was a guy who tried this, lost fingers, and then sued because there was no specific warning not to do this.

The government has nothing to do with this. A group called the Gideons place most of the Bibles with the owners permission. The owner of the motel can decide what he will allow in the room. I have been in motels that have both a Bible and Koran.

I don't think he did, but he was aloft for so long that he had time to write a book about his experience.
