  1. Good ones. I also found a photo of "me" in rehab. Looks like they got the date wrong, but otherwise it's familiar... My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  2. I thought they looked a rather smug... My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  3. (You do have a bit of German on your blog webpage?!) Yes, but that's about the only German I know. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  4. Another funny bird video. I think they're doing a tribute to my crash landing. Not sure what the narrator is saying... My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  5. Thanks- that's always good to know. That was cute! Heh heh- that's funny. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  6. Thanks. At first I thought it would be a stretch to have cast Frida as the "You think YOU have problems!?" person, but I she seems to be a hit. And I had fun drawing her. I think I have the parts for good. This should liven things up at the airport security lines. Now that's funny! My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  7. My thought after my first tandem was more like, "Okay, I tried it, but it's not like I'll do that again..." A few weeks later, I did another tandem, and a few weeks after that, started AFF... ...talk about an addiction sneaking up on you!
  8. Thanks. Good point. That or "I didn't get married or killed" My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  9. Heh heh. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  10. D'oh! That's a good point, considering they stapled shut the hole it made. That being said, it was a small cut. A laceration-lite, I say. Thanks. :)Quote My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  11. Thanks. :D My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  12. +1. Like the milagros earring. Sounds like you need arm and leg charms... Heh heh, good point. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  13. Here's the latest one: How I Broke My Arm & Leg, Part II: Lucky Ducky Here's why I didn't get too unglued about my accident. I'm not glad it happened, but I remember that it could have been way worse. p.s. I'm hoping this doesn't come across as me being smug that I "only" got somewhat hurt. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  14. Weird, isn't it? I also remember feeling the "bad" arm with the good one and having it feel like it belonged to someone else. I guess we aren't wired to deal well with broken parts. p.s. Thanks for the good wishes
  15. Well, from what I can gather from Facebook... 1. The damn thing buzzed everyone I knew within a 40 mile radius, allowing for great photo opportunities... 2. Yet managed to somehow go nowhere near me and my camera. The nerve! My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  16. Glad to hear it. :) My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  17. Good ideas! Thanks. :) My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  18. Thanks to two broken bones, I'm stuck on the sidelines for a few months (maybe more). Boo. Before my accident I did everything I could to improve my skills, including getting in several jumps each week. Now that I can't jump for awhile, is there anything constructive I can do in the meantime that would help? Obviously there's no substitute for real jumps (and I'll be hitting the tunnel once I'm cleared to do so,) but is there anything else I should or could be doing? I know I'm not the only jumper here who had to wait out an injury or two... My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  19. Sorry to hear about Skyler. A loving pet is a wonderful thing, and it can be so hard to lose one. You're in my thoughts. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  20. Good catch! Actually I took several artistic liberties for the drawing, both to make it "read" easier and to fit the duck character into the picture. One example- the my front foot would be between my partner's feet in real life, and not way off to the side. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  21. Will do. I'll be thinking about both of you. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  22. They may have been trying to scoot me closer to the board as opposed to standing me up. A lot of the action was behind me (and I was still in Holy Geez, what have I done to my arm!? mode) so I may have botched a few details. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  23. I believe it was the bottom, but it happened so fast that it may have been the rear edge and/or the corner. Yes, they put the collar on and had me strapped to some kind of board before they loaded me in the ambulance. I remember it being rather awkward for them because the slope I was on was rather steep. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  24. Interesting point about them not catching the leg right away. My guess is they focused on my arm first because that was the part I said was damaged, and they (and apparently I) weren't aware that I landed hard enough to further injure myself. I'm sure they would have caught it soon enough. My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
  25. New cartoon: Here's the cartoon version of my accident. Don't Let the Door Hit You My blog with the skydiving duck cartoons.
