  1. Bull Shit! The Banks got themselves into debt ! Their profits would have been private. Their debts have become public. Try to defend the banks dude. You can't do it. Fact is their actions have been criminal. The bailout is about hiding their criminal actions. Do you support that? Blues, DJ
  2. Quote>"great news"? >Listen Bill, >Why don't you try going to one of the tent cities popping up around the US >and tell those people they're *richer*. Number of people living in tent cities today: 20,000 out of 300,000,000 or .003% I'm not sure where you got your figures, it doesn't really matter. Do you have an extra room or even some basement space wher you could take a coupke or a small family in? Will you ,personally ,help to reduce that 20,000 number by 4? Blues, DJ
  3. [replyPerhaps less partying when they were in school like after the football game or the other distractions would have been in order. Studying for a future would have been good instead of partying for the now. Responsibility Pull yourself up by your bootstraps..fuck em if they fail Isnt that the hue and cry of the conservatives??? Really? I know people in the construction industry who have worked hard all their working lives. They tried , they were always a paycheck or two from being homeless but they were fine as long as there was work. Most of these guys couldn't have ever made colledge. They just weren't that bright . But they are willing to work hard at any job just to feed their kids. Thing is there are not enough jobs. Between the off shoring of manufacturing jobs and the importation of cheap illegal immigrant labor, there just aren't many jobs left for our homeboys. Pull up your boot straps? And then what? Blues, DJ
  4. And the same goes for the banks! The banks got themselves into debt! Their customers didn't do it! The banks got themselves into debt. Not the American people!!! The Banks got themselves into debt!!!! And their criminal actions are what the bailout is attempting to hide. Blues, DJ
  5. "great news"? Listen Bill, Why don't you try going to one of the tent cities popping up around the US and tell those people they're *richer*. I'd provide you a link so that you could tete a tete with them directly but they live under tarps and don't happen to have internet access nor electricity at the moment. Blues, DJ
  6. Uhm Marc, this is a bit off topic but , you studied law didn't you? Can you find anything in the US tax code that requires wage earners to file or pay Federal Income Tax. Blue Skies, DJ Nope Not a lawyer Went to tech school for line work after some college but I think I know what you are posting about Have a question or comment so we can continue? (I am curious where you are going with this) OK , my bad,I've you confused with a different Marc. My comment is simply this; Contrary to what most americans believe, wages aren't considered income. Wages are a simple fair trade , your time for money. There is nothing gained. There is no extra. There is no "imcome". Now if you had a stock which paid you 13% above the current interest rate, yes you hit the lottery and have *income* . So really most of this rich vs poor is really unnecessary. Most posting probably don't owe any income tax at all. They've just been duped into believing they do. Forcing the "rich" to pay MORE income tax is also not the answer to our (Americas') financial woes. Abolishing the Federal Reserve and fractional reserve banking, doing away with the present fiat currency and replacing it with one that is based on a known measurable commodity is the only sure way to extended financial security. 7. QuoteBecause once credit became a big risk, it was no longer readily availableQuote Credit didn't become unavailable because some people defaulted on mortgages. The money dried up because the Big Banks were caught and had to reimburse the european banks they had ripped off. In order to do that they needed to come up with Big bucks quick lest their criminaly activity was exposed and bankers would be marched off to jail. It wasn't/isn't about some guy defaulting on his mortgage. Try Enlightenment. It's a cure all! Blue Skies, DJ

  9. [replyPersonally I do not mind paying to live in a first world country. Save your money or move . USA is heading toward third world status. Blues, DJ
  10. Sounds pretty simple Bill. Obviously you don't quite understand what really happened. Let's say it was just that simple. One defaulted mortge didn't cause all this mess. If it was 12% of all mortgages going into default I would be more apt to place responsibility on the bankers who made bad loans. They have the know how to check on credit reports ,income, etc. What was the motivation to make so many bad loans? Blue Skies, DJ
  11. QuoteSo you would use words such as "nigger", "kite", and "fag" in everyday conversation? Quote I think you meant "kike" , a small coin worth about a penny. Blue skies, DJ
  12. Professor, do you have any idea as to what percentage of those materials exported to the US are used in weapons manufacturing? Blue Skies, DJ
  13. Ya know the nova got all the bad rap. The design just previous to that was the Ariel. It was never marketed. I jumped and landed it twice. The second time was just stupid. Blue Skies, DJ
  14. You know ,along time ago, when people knew what a helmet 100 yds down the road from a bike on the shoulder meant, cops were a lot more prejudiced against bikers than they are today. I don't know how long you've been riding or jumping, but I 've been on a bike since 1979. I've had my share of decent cops doing the job they were hired to do and I've run into a quite a few cops who overstepped their state authorized authority. I remember the incidents as about 50/50. Is that good enough? That about half the time I have interactions with the police they seem to be less than professional? What would I expect the next time I have interaction with one of them? Ofcourse that's just my observance. I'm interested in hearing about the experiences of others. Blue Skies, DJ
  15. Actually this is the right forum. I'm about to get on my soapbox and speak about how it used to be. Listen up newbie! Blue Skies, DJ
  16. Look, let's be adult. As I've stated I'm not accusing you of anything ,rhaig. Rather for my own education and yours, can you think of anyway this situation could have been handled differently? We are talking about a Stoked first time jumper who stayed around to hang out with us. We got him drunk on first timer beer. Do we owe him some amount of Brotherhood? Or do we set him up for police intervention? Fair Winds and Unlimited Ceilings, DJ It sounds like there was some animosity after he did the asshoke thing. Better counseling skills and more tolerance might have been a better answer. BUT - neither you or i were there - maybe the guyy was insultiung his heritage repeatedly, maybe he was so beligerant that he deserved what he got. You can lead a horse to water, but if he calls the cops and demands that you return an unlawfully seized item like his keys, then you must oblige. it still seems that the situation might have been better handled with a lighter attitude and an explination from the uniformed cops, while leaving the off duty cop out of it. Perhaps just a Public Intoxication or something close would have helped him out better than a multi thousand dollar DUI. I agree. Perhaps the freindly police ,including the jumping cop could have talked to the guy. Maybe they did. Let's hear more on this from rhaig . Blue Skies, DJ
  17. Have you ever had to pay a skydiving coach in order to meet license requirements ? Blue Skies, DJ

  19. You "helped prank the" first time jumper but then never felt a duty to look out for him? Blues, DJ
  20. They had the keys, they moved his car off the tarmac. You are right though, hiding the keys may have been a better way to handle the situation. At least the first timer wouldn't have been thrown into a cage. Blue Skies, DJ
  21. You're just avoiding the question but that's OK! Here are the facts . You stated that a whuffo showed up at Skydive USA and masde a jump. He hung out the rest of the day .After operations on the day of his first jump he hung around with you and "got drunk",in your presence. Later you let him drive off knowing that your newest Brother in the Sky was heading for police intervention. If that all is true , I want to be your friend. I'm sure I can help you. You may want some mentoring. Fair Winds and Unlimited Ceilings, DJ

  23. whuffo is "my word"?? wow... you're trolling hard today go after someone else. You wrote that a wuffo showed up ,made a jump, sat around with you and "got drunk". Aparrently this guy was "STOKED" as he stated that he was going to become THE BEST SKYDIVER EVER. Considering that this is a true story, was there any way you guys could have handled the situation differently? Sounds to me like we may have lost one who may have been the next Tom Piras . Blues, DJ
  24. Could this have been handled differently? Was there a way you might have prevented this obviously tormented soul from having even more turmoil in his life? Just curious. There was a time when skydivers, especially first timers, were treated as family. Blues Skies, DJ hey look, you're still trolling. we were joking with him, he took it badly. The cops were not amused. They didn't haul him in for false police report (because we asked them not to), but when he refused to stay on the DZ, they arrested him for DWI. We could have told him to bugger off when the beer light came on, but we didn't. We sat with him and drank with him. He got a little dickish, moved his car onto the tarmac where some people were playing basketball, so when he was taking a leak, they moved his car to the landing area. Skydivers, like family, joke with each other. this guy just didn't take it well. quit being all Dr Phil on us. Listen, I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm simply asking ,for my own education as well as yours, This "wuffo"(your word) , *who came to your DZ and made a jump*,and then stuck around to drink first timer beer,.. was there some way you guys could have looked out for him a little better? Let's do our best for our firstimers. They are us a short time ago. DJ
