  1. KEEP GOING, KEEP GOING, MAN!!! I quit after 10 years of 1.5 packs per day. As everyone, the first few days were horrible, then it should get easier! I quit as I started: a moment before you are a smoker, a moment after you are not, but You must want it with all your mind and body otherwise you'll go back in it I'm sure, you'll do it! KEEP GOING THIS WAY, AND REMEMBER ALL YOUR FRIENDS HERE AT DZ ARE WITH U IN EACH MOMENT.
  2. Yes. All US webpages have versions in every other language. If they didn't there would be riots, marches, and protests. NOT true! Sometime they have. When they have it's just a litterally translation and usually it is totally unusefull........
  3. Well I don't think I'd have lot of problems....... BUT for sure I wouldn't do any TANDEM Jump with a GAY PILOT..... C-YA
  4. I started AFF on August 2001. Theory day was Friday 10 On saturday 11 I did 4 AFF levels On Sunday 12 The remaining 3 Levels. I couldn't wait any more, I wanted my wings. Well it was a really good weekend, I should have posted it in the "weekend numbers" thread! Never done a tandem C-YA everybody Flyingvet
  5. Well, if you consider skydiving a simple hobby, you should first try a tandem jump, just to see if it is all right for you. Secondly and most important (at least for me), there are several and various reasons that can push you starting skydiving, but we all skydive because WE LOVE IT. You don't need to conquer anything, skydiving it's not a trophy, it's not a fight with yourself to demonstrate you're great. It's more, it's a way of thinking, of living of feeling...we all love this way! Skydiving is FUN, is FREEDOM, is a NEW WORLD you will discover. I think I can say you cannot conquer skydiving, it's SKIDIVING that will choose you..... Anyhow, if you want to start go to the nearest DZ, have a talk to some local instructors, pay your slots, and push your ass out of that perfectly functioning plane. The rest is "only" the most exciting FUN you have ever experienced!!! Don't be won by your fear. Everyone have fear, but it's not the point that can stop you. Try to fell fear, try to appreciate it and, may be, try to enjoy it. You will appreciate that kind of deep strange sensation that conquers you before your jump and that becomes deep FUN after you leave the aircraft. Go ahead, go ahead, don't be stopped by fear and you will enter the new world! Good Luck, all the crew is waiting for you Flyingvet

I would ask you two main quastion: 1) I think I will go jumping at Skydive Spaceland. I saw the website and it seems really cool. Do you think this will be a good choice? 2) I'm looking for an apartment for that 3 months. As I'll work at Baylor College of Medicine, do you any suggestion that could help me find a location. Then walked throughout this fear and realized that fear can't stop you, when you're doing the most exciting sport of the universe. It would be like be scared of having sex!!! Does anyone? Now I still have bad nightmare of total-malf. or of death by height but these are only nightmare, real skydiving is only FUN, FUN, FUN. Enjoy ur flights
