i agree with you NACMAC. Skydiving is by far the coolest thing there is to do, but there is more to life than just that. There are so mny other things a person can experince, and get the satisfaction of freedom and enjoying life. *** I recommend you get an RW suit and do at least 100 jumps RW before you progress to FF [/qoute] why do you recomend to do 100 RW jumps. If Gale wants to get into FF, then do it as early as possible. In FF you do have to know how to be stable on your belly at pull time, but other than that, RW is of no use for FF. The earlier you start FF, the less likely you will have a nasty habit of wanting to arch when going unstable in a sit fly. If you do go unstable in a sit fly, go into a ball, and forget arching. An arch will cause you to cork, and corking is the most dangerous thing you can do in FF. In my opinion you do not need to make 100 RW jumps, and certainly you do not need to spend money on an RW suit. ADIDAS, NIKE, and NEWBALANCE all make good running shoes. Ususally the good ones are priced well above $100. The trick to running shoes is this however. If you run 3 to 4 times a week you should buy new running shoes about every 3 to 4 months, as the absorbtion of the shock is practically worn out by the end of this time period. I have been into running for about 5 years now, and I never listened to anyone about the shoes. One knee surgery later, I do not go cheap on the shoes. You really do need to replace them often. I wasn't scared in the dream. It just kinda happened as it happened. I actually have many falling dreams and I enjoy them just as much as real life skydiving. It's kinda like free jump tickets.

Check out this dream I had the other night. All of a sudden I find myself in freefall. I am falling and falling then look at my left hand to see what altitude I am at. There is no altimeter on my hand. So I am thinking to myself that my ProTrack will go off any second. So I keep on falling but I hear nothing. All of a sudden I realize that everything is looking real fucking big. I am thinking OH SHIT, it's time to pull. So I reach back and grab the hacky. As I pull my finger slip off the hacky and my Pilot Chute is still in the BOC pouch. I reach back again, and get it out, but it is too late, and I have hit the ground. Somehow I survive the hit, though. What can we learn from this dream. Your altimeter is only your back up. Your audible altimeter is the back up to your back up. Rely on you eyes before anything else. Learn what different altitudes look like. Always check as you are going up the altitude of the clouds (if there are any). I am pretty new to DZ.COM and skydiving as a whole. I am 6 months into this. So far I have had the opportunity to meet and jump with 10 - 15 or so DZ.COMers (AggieDave and SkyGeek, it was nice meeting you guys last weekend). I am sure you guys do this once in a while, and get together and party and jump, and drink mucho cervesa. So whne is the next time this is going to happen?
