  1. oh, i have no problems with that. if my wife or children want to bring me cold beers from the fridge while i'm watching skydiving videos ... who am i to tell them they can't ? i was in london for 10yrs, but now living in singapore. no dz's here so getting regular jumps is hard ! we have to travel all over to exotic places just to get some jumps in ! s
  2. Hey Paige, that photo is, as the Americans say "kick-ass" ! I'm a Brit, so would probably say something like: "a very nice picture" if i was sober !! hey, i'm sure the guy's an asshole ! if he's gotta ask these questions ... ? hey, live long, sleep late, and look after those you care about ... blues, s -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !
  3. don't know what it is about that gall, but she makes me focus, get warm, and who knows, is she hot ? you guys know her better than me, but those photos really look good ... ! was this a "hottest chick" on the ground contest ? or a, "hottest chick" in the air contest ? cos' if it's on the ground er could line up a whole load of models ... or is it the hottest skydive chick ? now for that we'll need photos !! lol, s -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !
  4. a lady that likes orgasms ? time to step up to the plate ! ok, i could help you there, if i wasn't married with two kids, and the fact my wife threatened to chop off my balls if I so much looked at another girl ! Guess my wife must like her orgasms ! blues all, s -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !

    NOKIA advert

Hi all, there'a a new advert playing over here on the tv. it has a bunch of clowns jumping out of big green plane to entertain a guy in the middle of no-where. i think the advert is for Nokia. most tv here is pretty poor, so it's nice to see jumping in an advert ! out of interest, does anyone know where the advert was made ? or who was in it ? blues, ---------------------------------- i don't have one of those catchy lines ! -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !
  6. thanks, Chrisky, i kinda thought it might be to "get a headup-view while going headdown". if that's the view you wanted wouldn't you stand or sit fly to get the same view ? i can't imagine wanting/needing a headup-view while going headdown, is it designed with a specific formation in mind ? i think with my basic skills i'll stick to the standard straight up mount. just out of interest, did you find Rawa quite responsive to emails ? i emailed them last weekend and haven't heard anything from them, it's now wednesday. i also tried calling them and i just got an answer machine ! should i try using their fax number to get through ? any idea which method of communicating is the best way to get through to them ? blues, -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !
  7. i know my question is going to make me look like the dunse in the camp, but i don't know the answer and I don't read portugese ! Can you please tell me the purpose of the Rawa Freefly Imagem Double compared to the Freefly Imagem ? thanks, -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !

    Lido Lakes

I've jumped there a number of times. Normally things work, which is saying something in Asia ! Normally if we can't jump it's due to the weather which you get at any dz. i've probably done 150 jumps at Lido. the view is great of the volcanos. the people are v. friendly and will usually insist that you join them for a beer ! packers are pretty reliable, i have had many pack jobs and they've all been fine so far. jump prices are quite reasonable for asia at around the USD20 mark. you never know what aircraft will turn up for you to jump out of. i've jumped everything from a cessna 182 to a super puma and a herc in indonesia, so depends a bit on your luck ! a group regularly goes from www.skydiveasia.org so check with them if they have a group going to the dz and it can make a real weekend of it. one of my favorite dz's. blues, stimpy
  11. the funniest thing i saw recently was at the airport at the time when all the muslims in Asia took planes to go on the Haj to Mecca. They basically arrange group tours where they book pretty much the whole plane. And they all dress exactly the same in their white outfit and little white cap. so imagine a line of about 300 of these guys, not speaking much english, all lined up waiting to go through security to get on the plane. the security guards were going slow and carefully, and the guys near the back of the queue were getting quite agitated and impatient. ... and i thought to myself ... if people hadn't hijacked planes in the name of religion security wouldn't have to be so tight ! ... so i didn't mind the irony of the situation, watching the muslims get as frustrated as we all get due to increased airport security ... ! -------------------------------------------------- if you jump & drink beer - i'll talk to you !
  12. i have a bad feeling this rumour was started by unscrupulous people who want to be able to sell another reserve canopy to anyone who might have a reserve older than 6 years old. In some parts of the world people don't know better and they believe what they are told. As people have rightly pointed out, the best and most accurate information is likely to come from the manufacturer and they should be asked if you have doubts or questions. Don't believe everything that some people tell you - check it out from the correct sources. rgds.
  13. isn't the guy asking the question (steellex) a rigger ? shouldn't he know this stuff ? what's happened to standards these days ...
