    Do they get an automatic "heaven ticket" or is it fire & brimstone for them because well ...rules is rules.

  3. I just called and spoke with them.

    They do zeppelin jumps twice a year (usually April & September). Cost is EUR 295 and they go to around 1000metres (3300feet).

    For reference, they charge EUR 225 for their normal 30min sightseeing flights which goes to 1000feet.

    While I never regarded it as actual news, I was one of their very small UK viewership. I'd occasionally put it on for a sociological perspective (in the same manner you would watch chimps to better understand primate behaviour) or just outright entertainment (the Fox & Friends hosts were just so Goddamn stupid it was actually funny).

    Regardless of how poor a news outlet it was, it gave an insight that you only get with local input.

  13. I've had to explain to two older relatives in the US that they will not see a total eclipse (where they live) and it will not be getting dark for 2plus minutes in their respective areas.

    Granted both are dumbasses (not blood relations), but is this common?; do the Trump-voter types think all of America will be experiencing a total eclipse?

  15. Travelled through NC and Virginia in recent weeks. Though I lived in the area years ago, I came away feeling sad for the whole area. 30 years later and still a hotbed of racism and close-mindedness.

    VA Highway Patrol showing up to assist seems like just adding more of the same to a Klan / White Supremacist rally.

  17. Damn, just read that Chester Bennington (lead singer of Linkin Park) was found dead at his home today – apparent suicide.

    Just over two weeks ago (3July @ O2 Arena, London), I took my 10yr old son to see them; it was his first concert. He’s got their world tour shirt (now with dates that won’t be played) and a poster for his room that he hasn’t even put up yet.

    He’s in bed now asleep; in the morning I’ll tell him about the news – don’t quite know how to explain suicide.

    Until Trump, no US president in history has said/done dumb shit on a daily basis. Has he ever sent an intelligible tweet? WTF is the POTUS even doing tweeting with the voracity of a 12yr old girl chatting with her mates?
