Absolutely - as far as i am aware such a situation would be absolutely fine

QuoteAny chance you could potentially have a mate pick it up for you and ship it over? Wouldn't that negate the VAT?
VAT is due on items entering the UK over a certain value.
Import Duty is also usually due, as are possible fees from the courier company - this often adds up to 20.3% plus the courier fees.
Obviously even if someone else posts an item to you then VAT etc is due on it.
Mis-representing an item or it's value can get you into trouble with HMRC who can seize the item and/or fine you...
Obviously it would be a foolish thing to post on a public forum asking someone to do such a thing! -
Solution = Don't drop it
Seriously though L&B's customer service is legendary.
If the unit is not working drop them a line or speak to the dealer that you bought the Solo from... -
QuoteThe problem has been resolved.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Well if Paraman is saying it's still not resolved then it isn't ...
I'm not sure how you can say it is ...

Awesome cheesyness ...
'But i want you'
'If you want me get behind me and hold on tight' ...
I might have to see if that guy has a hot sister
Btw - whose design is that suit? -
Awesome pictures
So how do we 'borrow' one for a BOOGIE ??? -
True
If i can just persuade 15 000 000 other people to fall for it i'll be making $1 a day !!! -
And be careful of foreigb guys sending you receipts and asking you to pay for them - i lost several hundred €'s that way only the other month ...
Come to think of it - he did have a strange accent .... -
QuoteI might need a little bit more subject separation but I don't see any other problems with jumping this setup.

So where would you mount your Go Pro? -

This is just low...
Anyone who has lost a family member (in my case my father) to this kind of disease knows how difficult it is simply to get through each day without some sadist trying to make your life worse ...
I am amazed at the dignity of the little girls father and family, they have shown their true character...
I hope some good things happen to them and that they find some happiness and brightness in their life ...
As for the others ...
Let's hope Karma finds a way of paying them back for their actions... -

Hi Taris
We have several people at our DZ jumping with this camera now.
They have generally top-mounted it because it sits 'closer' than a go-pro and it seems much less likely to snag ...
The quality of footage from the camera seems pretty good - especially if played back on a HD TV screen such as the one we use at the DZ for de-briefs...
Overall it seems pretty easy to use and top mounts neatly - the guys seem to be using a Zkulls or similar mount ...
The LCD screen makes it easy to review the last jump if you don't have a TV to hand and there seems to be a reasonable number of outputs (TV / Computer)...
Overall it's not the highest quality camera but it seems to be everything that a 'normal' jumper would need in a simple lightweight package ...
Another option would be to look at the Skyshot Designs helmets which use the Contour HD at the moment - another neat concept although not commonly seen outside of the UK at the moment ...
You can see more info about the Drift and the Skyshot Designs Helmets on my smartrigs website ... -
Have a look at the Skydive the well page on Facebook - there's some footage of a balloon jump shot the other day (obviously image quality has been reduced because of FB) - for a small neat camera (complete with screen for quick reviews) ...
Probably not a camera for the purists - but from what i've seen it's a beat package that does enough for the average skydiver ...
In fact we will now be stocking them in the UKS Gear store and will have one for people to play with at the UKS BOOGIE this weekend ... -
