  3. Hiya Just noticed that some pages couldn't load the pictures when browsing with Netscape 7.1. IE loads the pages fine. Has this become an IE only site now? E.g. http://www.dropzone.com/features/PerformanceDesignsDemoPr.shtml cheers FBJ Images by FBJ
  4. I think B&H do a reliable deal on PAL cameras, got mine there... http://www.bhphotovideo.com ciao ~f:o) Images by FBJ
  5. I've recently found that the Lanc socket on my Sony PC9 - where I plug me Cam-Eye into - is being dodgy. Any Cam-Eye I plug in there switches on and off randomly. Anyone else had this trouble and figured out a way to fix it and prevent it happening again? Thanx FBJ Images by FBJ
  6. Darude - Sandstorm Gettin a tad old now for sure, but this one had sweet build up and timing for exit and opening. one of my favourite cheeze tracks of all time FBJ http://www.daretobereal.com
  7. Goin to hav to take a similar stand on this one - truth is, if a publication is looking for an image, they will almost always have a go at saying there is no budget for photos and u should do it for the exposure. If u hold up they will invariably concede that there actually is real dollar value to your work - either that or they will look elsewhere for a way to rip off an image. IMHO I think your book project is all good except that they haven't given realistic consideration to the value of what's going into it - at least the illustration part, that is. FBJ Images by FBJ
  8. Thanks, that's what I was looking for - seems the PC9 at least does have playback. Any one have other models out there with this feature? I'll make you an offer u say it would not capture to computer (even when telling the computer to capture PAL as PAL). Was that capturing via digital? Could be it only outputs analog PAL when playing PAL footage - maybe capturing the analog signal via capture card thang would do the trick in this case? thanx FBJ
  9. Likely an old question - I know I've been missioning on it for a while: how to deal with the PAL-NTSC thing when you travel a lot. At the moment I'm trying to identify a miniDV model that records in NTSC (as would be suitable for North American useage), and can also play back tapes recorded on a PAL camera. I'm not looking for conversion to NTSC, just playback. It seems to be fairly common for recent PAL models to be able to play NTSC tapes, but not vice versa for some reason. Anyone got some intimate info on the subject? thanks, FBJ Images by FBJ
  10. hi Just checking for feedback from anyone jumping (or not) the PC120BT. What do you think of it? thanks FBJ Images by FBJ
  11. While we're on the JVC topic... I used to use a JVC GR-DV1 and changed way back to Sony. Still have the DV1 (NTSC) in case anyone needs it - (works and may be good for parts). ciao FBJ Images by FBJ
  12. Thanks for that, Sangiro Some w!k!d photos and congrats to all the winners and everyone who had the balls to enter. (Jus 4 the record, I'm not from Christchurch - just happen to be there for a bit. The shot is taken over Skydive Auckland, New Zealand - probly shoulda been more specific, eh.) ciao FBJ, global citizen. Images by FBJ
  13. Sweet , thanks. Pleased to hear the judging isn't left open to manipulation by the massive. I think I'll be off to place some ratings - some very nice shots out there. What sort of criteria are they judged on? ciao FBJ
  14. ello! How do ya place a vote on the pictures in the dropzone.com photo galleries or competition? thanks FBJ
