  1. Maybe they don't, maybe in a way they do
  2. I'll try "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  3. Reckless attitude. Tell it to Travis, Scot or any other guy who does similar stuff. Or stuntmen, or to racing drivers or any other people who do anything that can harm them. I'm surprised how you even became a skydiver, judging by your attitude you seem like someone who wouldn't leave his house because he might slip, fall over, break your neck and die in street or something similar... About the smarter thing... It's a small book "Very short answers to very big questions" Oxford, Chapter 14 - Are we becoming more intelligent? If my posts make your head hurt - don't read them. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  4. Oh and it's the same as saying: "I just don't get it why plain old cars are not enough." http://www.svvs.org/genpics7/1910_Hotchkiss.jpg vs http://www.supercars.dk/cars/bugatti/bugatti-veyron.gif "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  5. ..... yeah...... wait til you have 94 jumps. That video was scarey.... the chuteless jumper just LIES there,,,, relying on the Mr.Bill Guy, to dig the harness connecting points outta his shorts, and hook em up????? whoa... That was quite the ballsy stunt.....since the chuteless jumper has little to NO control ,on the safe connection OCCURING....Just what WAS the back-up plan???? Check out the video at roughly the 2 minute mark, when pastrana has just exited.... SOMEthing flies off him.... Not sure about having stuff getting loose,,,, on what I would think,, is a well thought out skydive...Plus .. the solo diver, nearly flies right back INTO the pilot chute toss...... YIKES.... Tandem Harness???? Tandem rig??? No No No... ( see previous thread, called Trick with tandem ) .... I just don't get it...... that "plain Old Skydiving" is NOT Enough....... Push Push Push, and sure thing,,, you INCREASE the odds of finding out what truly IS...... the limit... j t Also: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=STTqHmU_HAQ I don't get it though, you seem like you saw something unreal... Yeah, he's pushing it, pushing the limit and damn he looks awesome and really brave, but it's nothing super duper unreal... Also another one (older video): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eQvBeKNQHLk&feature=related I don't see a problem with doing these kind of things. They are awesome and they show great skill and courage, kudos to all the people who do this and live to tell the story. I think you oldies should realize that people are not standing in one place and that "the good old days" won't be there forever, everything is moving, people are getting better at everything and doing new and new stuff... As far as I read every generation gets smarter than the old one... Every generation evolves, gets better at everything, so yeah the new guys are better than what you were like 20-30 years and people will be better than us right now after 20-30 years, it's all natural... 7. I never said I was gonna stand on tandem with 94 jumps or any number of jumps for that matter... I just expressed my opinion about people who do that... "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  8. I don't advise doing this with 26 jumps
  9. Never seen a leather one And hows the quality of it? Does it wear off faster? "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  10. I don't see a problem with my rig. I like it, it's extremely comfortable on my back and the colors are not bad, even though I prefer red and black... It may be a bit old (mines made in 2000), but it's still very good, PdF - Quality. Edit: is that javelin leather? "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  11. Mines cool, cause it's rare. You see vectors, javelins and all kinds of mirages all over the place everywhere! Here's a little bit about it http://www.dropzone.com/gear/Detailed/240.html "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  12. lol "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

  14. So true "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  15. Well... I remember my tandem jump (it was my first) and I remember everything from it, the way we left doing a half frontflip, when I was looking to the ground and the cameraman tap me on my head to look at him, the turns, the canopy deployment, when the TI gave me the controls for a bit, the landing... Really, dunno about others but I remember that jump as if it was yesterday (it was in 2007 spring)... "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  16. Bet you haven't seen Atom Axis "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  17. Well not laws, but rules. Why would the army not allow you to skydive? P.S. I couldn't care less if you think I'm ignorant or not. Whatever "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  18. wow, you really do have some downright stupid laws here in US... "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  19. Yes I do I really want 10k reviews though "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  20. I'm not arguing from the technical side. I understand that the stunt is dangerous and that it can kill it's participants and that it should not be done with students. What I'm arguing about is that everyone who are involved in this stunt have to be experienced and know what they are getting into, by meeting those 2 criteria they are free to attempt it and if they succeed, then they show some nice skills
  21. Oh I get it... If I don't agree and don't have the same point of view of the masses, then I'm an outcast... The NickD guy summed it up quite well... Time will show you. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
  22. And what's so bad about my question? I'm curious, I don't know the answer, so I ask. Don't see a problem here. Also, it might not be very relevant to this or it actually might be, but still, a guy in my DZ told me: "It's better to ask 100 stupid questions on the ground, than have 1 serious question in the air." So give me a break. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
