  1. I am needing to know what size reserve will fit into a size B Eclipse container. And if anyone knows what the web site is for Eclipse. Thanks Peace Love and Soul
  2. Sorry I missed you last time you were down brother. I was in TX. You will have to call me and let me know when you are going to be down again. We'll hit the DZ. Peace Love and Soul
  3. My memories of Archway Skydive Drop Zone. I remember being in Collinsville Illinois, working out of town for on a month and a half project. I had just gotten into the sport so I had to find my fix while I was gone from my home DZ. I called around to various Drop Zones to see what they had to offer. There are many Drop Zones to choose from around the St. Louis area but I was drawn to this particular one. I guess it was what they said and how they made me feel when I called. A few questions then it was “get your butt out to the DZ for some fun”. I was on my way that following weekend. Even after getting lost and driving 3 hours out of my way to find out that they were closed the weekend after Sept. 11th (I had no idea)(stupid me), I was not discouraged. I sat around with Jason, Anita, Terri and all the regulars at the DZ and they made me feel like one of the family, even being the stranger in their home. I was hooked. Not even having my “A” license at the time I never felt inferior or out of place. I met some of the most awesome people I’ve ever encountered in my life during this time. I was able to jump with RW and Free Flyers. I saw my first canopy stack. (Beer) I would have to say that I was on vacation more than work at that point. I spent the next month with my newfound family every weekend. During the time everyone helped me with all my license requirements, something my home DZ had never mentioned, plus I was able to get my water training. (Burr, it was a refreshing jump into the lake but it rocked) I would have to say that Archway is one of the friendliest Drop Zones I have ever encountered, free spirited and fun. Upon first arrival I felt like part of something, a feeling of comfort. I have met and made many friends though I was only there for a brief time but, from what I am told, the stories live on. You know who you are!! I have been back since to their Chili Party in December and my friends have visited my home DZ for our Mardi Gras Boogie this past February. I can’t think of any other way I would rather be spending my time than with my family from Archway. Since I have been skydiving I have found peace within myself. Clarity and truth. That is my ultimate goal and I have found it within this sport. As long as we do not forget why we started into the sport and what drew us to the DZ the first time we will never forget who we are. I may get lost on occasion but I can always look to my new friends to help find my way home. Skydiving = Peace Love and Soul April 30, 2002
  4. FallenWoman Wish you could have been here that would have completed our dropzone.com record breaking attempt. We did a magic carpet ride from the back of the CASA. That is when 9 peolpe hold on to each others leg straps and exit. Object is to exit and hold on as long as you can. I think we made it to from 16k to 11k. Not to bad is it. See ya at the next Illinois Boogie!!! GCX
  5. Number 10 is all me. And what is up with these women that think you are gay because you are a nice guy. That is way off base. I have been accussed of being gay because I was a gentleman and did not make the move on the first date. That is just the womans way to cope with her own insecurities. There are nice attractive money having heterosexual men out there.
  6. Look up http://www.rochesterskydivers.com/ . There is a place right in your back yard. GCX

  10. Well I have some more info on my canopy coming in. It is a Pisa Conquest 190. Zero P. Has anyone jumped one of these please let me know. I have had plenty of responses to my last post and am very grateful but no one has mentioned the Conquest 190. What is it? Why does no one know about it? Is it discontinued or what? Just wondering what I have gotten myself into. Peace Love and Soul GCX
  11. This canopy was manufactured in 93'. What year were these made would be my question. I will not know any details until I get the rig. Hopefully within a week. Then I will know more about it. GCX
  12. I have just made a deal with a guy who is selling a Pisa 190. I am asking some of you who know something about it to give me some advise and to let me know what I am in for. This will be my first rig and I don’t want to make any mistakes. Thanks! Peace Love and Soul GCX

  14. No I haven’t taken the darn test yet. I am going to be the only skydiver with 50 jumps and no "A" liscence. Scary isn’t it!! Maybe they will let me take my A and B at the same time! Think? NOT! Peace Love and Soul GCX
  15. My new years resolution for last year was to live life to the Xtreme. I think that I have done my fair share of that so far. But this year has got to be better. How I can top last year is beyond me but here it goes. Top 10 best DropZone Resolutions 1. Bring the jenga game to every boogie in the off chance that the Swedish Bikini Team with Parkinson will show up and want to play the ultimate game of STRIP JENGA 2. Understand rydayumpinghay!!! 3. Keep all valuables away from Tippy unless you have a wet wipe. 4. Try to remember that all SOCIAL events include clothing. (that’s one I tend to forget) 5. Keep all students away from the licensed skydivers (you know who you are) 6. Remember that Jell-O Jeager and pyramid building don’t go together. 7. Spray and wash for grass stains on knees and dental floss for those notorious faceplants (FallenWoman) 8. Always have Jeager on hand for the hard core (and FlyBy) skydivers. Just kidding ;-) Love ya mean it. 9. Keep spare headboard hardware in duffel (just in case) Unknown!! 10. Understand the difference between Peas and Beans. (Tina) Happy New year. And may all of your Christmas’ be Blue (Skies that is) Peace Love and Soul GCX
