OK, I'm not an economist either, but here is what I see... Our national deficit only keeps going down; I really wanted to avoid railing on Bush, but that is not entirely possible...no president has ever spent the amount of money he has on a any one cause, much less a futile one. I don't have exact figures, but it is beyond billions. We're going to run out of solders before this war is over. Now, don't miss understand me; I have the deepest respect and debt of gratitude to those who fight for our freedom-I just have a bone to pick with those sending them out there. In terms of your house going up in value 17%...don't let that fool you...our house increased by $150,000 in one year, but what good does it do me if no one is buying? My sister is a loan officer, who not too long ago was making about $2-300,000 a year; O don't know what she makes now, but it's not pretty... Also, I'm an insurance agent....and I can't tell you the number of contractors I see that bitch and moan every time we see them; the market is in a standstill, therefore the house that are built are not selling, which means there is no need to build new ones, equaling no work for contractors. Lastly,-the stock market. Again, I'm no expert, but things are certainly worse now than they were a few years back.

In terms of immigration, allow me to correct myself; I didn't mean so much that illegals should be allowed to work (although that would help, so long as they pay their taxes). The question of the poll was should immigration laws be changed? What I would like to see is the possibility of immigrants being to come here legally, and have the choice of staying here legally, if they choose, for sake of a better life. Having said all that that-could I be more informed on the subject....? Yes.

as far as immigration, i feel the most important thing is to know who we have coming into this country. that is vital to our security. I'm all for people coming here for work or a better life, but they need to do it legally. we have a responsibility to do 2 things. the first is to enforce the laws and hold the companies that hire illegals accountable, no jobs for illegals = less illegals. the second is to provide a reasonable path to citizenship and a reasonable way for people to come here to work legally.

How much have you been working out since you started? When I firsst started a month ago, I was trying to take it easy at first and thought I was successfully doing so, yet, my body hurt from hjhead to toe for the first two weeks. Pain is your body's way of drawing needed attention to itself; slow down. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you pulled a muscle or something; I've done that just by sleeping in a bad position...oh the pain in the morning Therefore, I'm sure the probability of something like that happening by working out is much higher

Do you think immigration laws should be changed?

I've been thinking a lot about how immigration laws are setup in this country and am curious to learn the opinion of others. There is a lot of talk these days about whether or not illegal immigrants should be allowed to live in this country, let alone work here. IMO the economy is in such bad shape that any money brought in to the economy helps; do I care if the person doing that work is black, white, yellow, or purple? No. The illegal immigrants that are already here are going to find ways to work whether we like it or not; it's our choice if we allow the fruits of their labor benefit us as a whole. As it stands, money made by an illegal is sent back to his/her home country because the person intends on returning their and living off the percentage in the bank. While some of that money would continue to be sent to the home country if the person was legal, to support family and whatnot, I'm willing to bet a nice chunk of it would be circulated here, byway of investments or otherwise.

On a personal note, I suspect a lot of us have families abroad and cant see them as often as we would like because the laws are so so strict. In all fairness, I don't know how it is with other countries, but 90& of poles get denied 2,3, even 4-5 times. Not everyone is a terrorist.... Also, I'm all for somewhat strict laws in the name of safety, but also believe that people should be given more options in becoming legal; many of you mat or may not know that it right now is virtually impossible. America's slogan is "secure borders, open doors"; I believe we should live up to that

America didn't get to be where it was in the 90's over night. Just some food for thought.

I forgot to mention....if you have thee option of going to traffic school. Trust me, you don't want that on your record for 3-5 years; insurance companies take enough of your money I know that here in Illinois traffic school is offered online. If any of this is an option in your area take advantage of it.

Dude, that blows; I'm sorry you got the ticket. The fact that you were fined so high for only going 22 over the limit is total b/s. I say only 22 because I've been caught speing as much as 26-30 over the limit and walked away without a ticket multiple times. I'm not proud of my driving habits, but am the first to admit that I'm not qualified to be driving Mrs. Daisey I only had 1 speeding ticket in my life, when I first started driving 7 years ago. But I was caught going 69 in a 35; the cop was soooooooo pissed for noyt being able to arrest me that he wrote on the ticket that I was weaving between lanes in traffic, even though I was stopped on a empty (not a soul in sight) 2 lane road at 2-3:00 am. Even than, I was only fined $115.00.

On ITunes there is a fee per download to download copyrighted material; I simply was being led to believe that this client is legit in similar fashion, with the monthly subscription. However, I didn't see anything like that (never was prompted to provide credit card info), therefore I'm assuming only the client itself is legal. Just trying to clear some red-tape; I think we all can agree that sometimes lines in these sort of issues can get blurry, at best.

Can someone tell me if the bearshare P2P client is legal. ITunes is getting quite expensive; I've been told that its a 0.99 a mont subscription fee (as opposed to 0.99 per song on ITunes). If this were the case it would be really cool; I love my music. However, I' not certain of these claims and if the advertisement is correct, and don't want to cause myself any unnecessary legal problems. Both their Websites claim it is either free or legal; I'm iffy about it being free and legal; it's easier to buy the 0.99 a month subscription idea. But when I downloaded the client there was no mention of this. What do ya'll think?
