Hi Kyle, I will just post this here in case anyone else will get some use of it. I dislocated mine coming out of the Casa. As soon as I exited I heard a giant POP then realized my right “pull arm” was dangling behind me in freefall. Instinctively, I reached for my arm and pulled it down….another big POP (I must have put it back in place “”eeek””)! Thanks to adrenaline I was able to plug my slot on the 20way , pull and land safely. I wasn’t aware of the damage until the next morning “I couldn’t freaking move…SO MUCH PAIN”. I toughed it out for close to a month with no real improvements. I finally went to a Sports Med Doc (no medical benefits mind you). He checked it out, and as soon as he heard and felt the crunching / grinding going on in there he told me I would need surgery. Surgery was not an option for me not having benefits. He gave me home physical therapy treatment (rubber band) exercises. After more than 3 months passed I felt it might be ok to get back in the air with the help of a modified shoulder brace and left hand throw out. I did a tandem wearing the brace for support and had the TM “Thanks Kevin K.” hold (support) my arm in freefall. When I gave him a big head nod, he would release my arm slightly to see if it could withstand the wind resistance. I also flew and flared the tandem canopy to make sure the brace allowed for enough reaching range (slider collapse, brake release and landing flare). All went well!! We landed and I RAN to my locker swooped up my rig and had Mike G. modify my BOC to Left Hand Throw. Have been jumping lefty ever since!! The mod’s were carefully measured webbing sewn to the front under the arm to prevent over extension backwards. (See attached picture). Hello fellow ZHills jumper I dislocated mine in freefall several years ago. Spent 4 months on the ground and lots of PT and PAIN . I finally resorted to going to left hand throwout and I also jumped with a modified shoulder harness to prevent it from dislocating again. I can fill you in on the details of the modified shoulder harness (I am sure Sally H. can help with it). Feel free to PM me and I will give you the details. I gave mine to Pops Jumper but it’s an easy mod. Maybe we can hookup at the Hills (my little 3 legged side kick Hercules is usually close by). Heal Fast and welcome aboard!! > Tami C

Z-Hills Saturday November 29th We will be having a memorial / ash dive for our beloved Joe Faulk. We are hoping to see a TON of Air Trash and Muff Brothers in attendance!! Never check your gear...PERIOD!!! Have your USPA Card and AAD X-Ray card in hand at Scan Points. I had a bad experience years ago ( Y2K) coming home from Eloy ( Phoenix) to Portland, Oregon. Southwest refused to let our gear on “checked or carry on”. The plane flight was delayed for “2 hours because of “OUR GEAR”. Finally an agreement was made to have the gear (6 of us), Federal Expressed back to Portland “”paid and insured by the airline””!!! Keep your gear in a bag through the terminal (not a good idea these days to sling a rig over your shoulders in an airport…duh), and present it openly at check points, with cards in hand. I have not had a problem since. USPA helped out quite a bit after the ordeal in Y2K at Phoenix. Bottom Line…I don’t check anything worth value unless “THEY” will insure it. If you’re gonna carry it on, get there early enough to stand your ground. PITFA (Pain in the Fucking Ass). SMOOCHES Tami

I ‘m sorry, I never usually get sucked into this but REALLY “Get off your high fucking “high”- horse’s people, evidence is evidence”. I don’t see this any different than a video taken at any other incident / accident scene. If it’s available utilize it. What if…a video was being filmed at a parade and an incident / accident occurred (maybe a spooked horse trampled a baby carriage) and video guy wouldn’t give up film, could you imagine the annoyance of authorities and the simple fact of trying to understand and learn from what ever happened??? Just because we choose to PLAY ABOVE EVERYBODY ELSE….DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE . ARROGANCE SUCKS Tami

Scotty and I are SO looking forward to the Hop Flop this year. I have been wanting to come for years but weekend shifts prevented that. I have to say I will really miss Skydive Atlanta’s Boogie b/c Trey always did an AWESOME job and we love the people there!!!!
