  1. A wonderful place to jump! Rule #1- Have fun! Wonderful family environment. Great for students. I never think of stopping at one of the 12 drop zones that I pass to get to Skydive KY. Everyone is equal! No-matter if you are a student, tandem, male or female or experienced with 12,000 jumps. Everyone gets to jump! Well worth the drive!
  2. On paper and on the phone I told them that I would only have between 50-60 skydives on bd. They said that they where okay with that, and charged me for the gear. I NEVER SAID that I had 155 skydives. Well, maybe if I slept with everyone at the DZ and gave everyone "happy pills" from my place of work. Then yeah..I would of had 155 skydives at bd. I call you phone: 10/24 at 12:34pm..... 10/26 at 7:22pm...e-mail on 10/26 at 6:37pm Sorry that I missed that rule: "Everyone must buy me a drink on saturday night." "questioned your credentials" I offered to show you my log-book on thursday night, before you gave me my jump pass. My credentails where Never in question. Hummm I wonder why some people want bd stopped. "what has this world come to"~~~sen bird I am not the one getting the state mad. Someone from Apex asked me for "happy pills" or did I know a Doc in the area who give them some. Humm I wonder why that I was not my hand writing on the gear rental. YOU called the press on this, not me....
  3. there will always be next year I will not be able to jump next year, or any more years on bd. My ears have taken a turn for the worse. I am okay with being deaf, but the part of not being able to skydive kills me inside.
  4. I wish that I knew why I got "canned". Many people say different things. The only thing I have heard from Jason was that some one told him that I had to repeat an AFF jump. But yet, two phone calls and an e-mail still no answers. Hummm something is not right!!! If Jason want to keep this private, he should have kept his mouth shut, he went to media about this not me. Many people have questions....but still no answers. He should of never given me permission in the first place. I was misqouted in the news paper, big shock. I will skydive until my ear gives out, and I will base jump until I die. I am not a perfect person, I am human. Joy
  5. You can move to the "New River Gorge Preserve" it's 1.25 miles from the bridge!

    ride for bridge day

I live in Charleston, I have no problem giving some rides up to the bridge, I can fit 4 more people in my car. I know some back road, it only takes me about 45 mins to get there from my house. E-mail me. Never go to map-quest for direction, you will never get there. Joy
  8. Yeah..that scared me on the AFF jump that I did. No-one ever told me that was going to happen. I kept on thinking that something was wrong and I was going to die, because I was to afraid to cut it way. (I had a long way down, I was under canopy for about 20 mins) After awhile you will not even notice it. What I found to help me with line twist is has soon has you pull the cord, grab the lines. That will also help with the "ladies" from getting hurt. What kind of trouble are you having with the toggles?
  9. I did an AFF jump back in Aug. I had a really bad jump, I even landed about 1 mile away from the drop zone. I cried the whole way back to dz and all the way home. I thought that I could never get back up in the air. Then I thought well what does not kill you will only make me stronger. That was 19 jumps ago. I did switch drop zones. I was traveling 450 miles one-way to jump. It was well worth it. I found out that I needed new instructors. Evenyone teaches differently, you might need to find the instructor that is just right for you. That will make a world of difference. Blue Skies
  10. I really did not know what I was getting my self into. And that fact that I was already uncomfortable with my Instructor, I was too scared to say anything becasue I did not want the whole drop zone getting mad at me. I have learned and moved on. I just can not wait to have another stand up landing! Joy
  11. I have to drive to Ohio, it's not far from me about 60 miles. I was driving 350 to go there. Good luck Joy
  12. I just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone. I just move to WV from Pittsburgh. I found a place to jump before I moved! I am still a student...I just had my first stand-up landing 2 weeks ago. I have done about 8 tams, 1 aff and 12 s/l. I am having trouble free falling, I am not the best (I passed-out once, for about 20 sec). But I love the sport. I am still doing the out-of-state classes for nursing. I was working on my BSN for nursing before I left Pittsburgh. I am planning to go back to school in the fall. Blue Skies Joy
