  1. Hey Everyone, Our UK team, AA category, is currently one person short. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can share the team vibe and has the same goals. Our medium term goal is to have a 14 point average by the UK nationals. If you are interested and would like more information please private message me. Blue skies, Marc Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  2. hey dave ;) here here, top notch. Marc (Bodyflight Frenzy) Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  3. All I can say is thank you sunpath! My rig is awesome, fits great, flies great and looks kick ass! I know the Odyssey is not the cheapest rig around but all I can say is you get what you pay for. To the rubbish about not being freefly friendly all I can say is put the right canopy in it! Choice of Champions indeed.
  4. i would love to try that, looks awesome!! Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  5. it usually depends what time of year you ordered your rig. it would help to know when did you send in your order and what delivery time were you quoted? blue skies, Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  6. could you possibly elaborate on cheers, Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  7. many thanks for that, Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  8. hey, many thanks for that, its very descriptive. I have read everyones response and really like the idea of reducing the amount of unstowed line to a minimum. One question I do however have is once you have made your final loop (1/2 width of the D-Bag - step 4 in your instructions) you tuck the remaining loop underneath all the lines groups. One potential problem I see with this is that while this loop is being extracted at a 90 degree angle to the D-Bag during deployment there will be some force on all the line groups. If this force was enough to unstow any of the line groups you could end up with not only an out of sequence deployment but also a potential line dump. What are everyones thoughts on this analysis? Blue skies, Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  9. hey guys n' gals, the trials are fast approaching, so I hope see loads of you there

  11. out of interested the thing that comes to mind with this split stowing method is the chance of the loop locking off over another stow during & preventing deployment. have you considered this and if so what conclusions did you reach? Blue skies, Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  12. hey guys, the first time I mention the date in the above post is incorrect. The day of the tryouts is this coming weekend, saturday 25th March as mentioned further down in the post. Marc Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  13. hey, just to confirm it is indeed the 25th March ;) If for any reason you cannot make next weekend please get in touch with the tunnel and they may be able to organise something for you before saturday. Marc Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  14. Hey Guys, i am jumping a pilot 150 loaded at around 1.2 and the other day while practicising my 180 swoops my neptune flatlined. After reading the manual I have noticed that it says this may happen, what it doesnt do is give the speed you need to be doing in the swoop (without swoop mode enabled) in order for the dytter to flatline. Could anyone tell me that speed? Cheers

  16. To All, The Gist: Due to unforeseen circumstances the sponsored Bodyflight junior team, 'Frenzy' is currently in need of a new member. As such you are all cordially invited to team try-outs at Bodyflight UK on Saturday 25th March. Please read on for more info. Details: In December 2005 Bodyflight UK held tryouts for a new junior team to become part of the Bodyflight squad, comprising of 2 senior teams, 1 intermediate team and 1 junior team. The main sponsors of the squad are Bodyflight UK, Skydive Spain & Target Skysports. The training schedule for the junior team is laid out as follows (some of which has already been completed): - Approx 100 Jumps - 16 Hours of Tunnel Time - Full time coaching from former Sebastian XL members Steve Hamilton & John McIver The team is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to be pushed hard and learn quickly. There is no requirement to have competed in 4-way before or know any of the names/letters of the formations. Skill wise you need to have or be very close to achieving a good neutral position (with no fishing, movement or fall rate changes), good in place 90 and 180 degree turns and good independent arm movement. The financial commitment required is investment in a team suit and approx £300-£400 per month from now until August with a possibility to continue the Bodyflight project into a second year. As mentioned above the tryouts will be held on Saturday 25th March. We would kindly ask that anyone interested please be at the tunnel for 10am and please private message me so that we have an idea of numbers. We will be fitting the trials around the team training already scheduled so please expect to spend a good part of the day at the tunnel. You will be asked to purchase 5 minutes of tunnel time at the going rate of £62 which will be spent flying with Steve & John and perhaps current members of the Frenzy team. We hope to be able to let the lucky individual know before the end of the day and invite him/her to stay for the remainder of the tunnel camp that weekend (sat evening & Sunday). I wish everyone the best of luck, Marc Frenzy Inside Center p.s Please see attachment for team logo Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.

  18. apologise for the slight thread hijack but if the air is thinner then the pressure and hence drag exerted on the canopy fabric will be reduced. For me it then only follows to reason that this would cause the canopy to open more slowly given all other factors (e.g airspeed, temperature, atmosphereic pressure) remain constant. Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  19. could someone please be so kind and explain why opening a reserve at a higher altitude puts MORE force on the parachute on opening? I would have intuitvely thought that the opposite was true. Marc Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  20. enough time perhaps to make sure they have not photographed anything they shouldnt have Everyone makes mistakes, just dont let them be your last.
  21. hey birdboi, primarily and most importantly we are looking for someone with the right attitude. If you like to have fun while maintaing your ability to achive goals you are already half way there. experience wise, you obviously need to have done some 4-way before. theres no need to have competed before or know all of the randoms and their corresponding letters. as for skill you would generally need to be relativley good. as an exmaple, if you have done any tunnel time before this would mean you have or are very close to achieving a good neutral position (with no fishing, movement or fall rate changes), good in place 90 and 180 degree turns and good independant arm movement. hope that helps, please feel free to pm me if you have any more questions.
