  1. IMHO, it is not about body position, it is about speed/angle. Get used to fly at steeper angle and you leg wing will open by itself. Camera man can help by moving forward relative to you. With his legs above you head, you will have to naturally dearch in upper torso to keep watch in camera.

    Used for almost 3years. Mostly for WS jumps and no cutaways so far. You can reach to DZ from far away opening spot. But if you have to land it offsite you can do this even on dug up field(tried myself :). Regardless of you packing proficiency, if you keep slider in place, it will open well. Mine loaded at 1.55, so it fun enough to fly once WS part of jump is over :)

    Tandem Flybys:

    Flybys is ok if: 0. you have enough experience in flocking and have perfect control of you movements. 1. agreed with TI 2. booth of you have flight plan. If TI not following the plan then flyby should be aborted. At our DZ we decided that if tandem flying along runway then it is ok for flyby, any other directions prohibits flyby. 3. when you closer than 50m you visible for TI. 4. when you closer than 50m you at level with tandem pair or lower. In case of any sudden maneuver from you side you will pass below tandem. 5. when you getting closer than 50m you not higher than passenger leg then it is ok to go to even to 3m close. We have 5 TI and all of them is ok for this rules

  5. Read as : Line bus from Borispol International Airport to Kiev City 50 UAH Way from Kiev city to DZ Borodjanka with public transport. Also possible by taxi which will cost you 300-350UAH from main train station if you call phone taxi (price checked for taxi +380505515858) If you need to make local calls you can save money by using local number, which can be bought almost anywhere for about 25UAH (sim card for GSM compatible cellular). Cards to replenish funds for this number can be bought at same place. To find such stores you should look for red card image with white egg and letters "MTC" on them or for blue card with letters "KievStar".
  6. 1. Charge via USB until red power led turns green. 2. Press power button. GPS led will turn red. Leave him on until GPS led starts blinking, it takes less time when more sky visible to device. 3. GPS led blinking means device already know where you are and logging working. You can hold "track" button for two sec to start new track and separate one jump from another. You can use this software to do basic track downloading and configuration. Auto log configuration have two interesting options. Create track point each N sec or each N meters. My preference was to create point each second. Hope this helps more than manual :)

  10. I`m not far from this level of experience and done same thing couple of time. After canopy course this looks for me like I was monkey with grenade :( That was miracle I`m not hurt myself. Also speed generated was nothing in comparison to what I can do now from 90.
  11. I`m very new to swoop and to use of audible for piloting too. But "swoop after beep" sounds very strange to me. I`v bought Optima to avoid moving my eyes towards my altimeter. Knowing you approximate altitude without losing sight of traffic and target is good and not add any danger from my point of view. Am I missing some newest tools which connects altimeter to front risers and pull them with certain beep?
  12. Jumped Magellan 120(1.37) and 150(1.1). Packing - all of my packing done on canopies below 100 jumps on it... with my experience it was quite a challenge but... Opening - Even with far from perfect packing openings are good :) Not to slow but still comfortable. Unstowed break is not much a problem on 120. Flying - Front risers soft enough to make any maneuvers or keep on dive after 720. Flare - Landing of 120 was so simple that even on first jump you feel how to land soft and without running. P.S. Ordered 110 is in production now :)
  13. I was faced same question year ago. After old design canopy you can notice big difference when change to moder design semi-elliptical but you WL is quite low so going one size smaller is not an issue. IMHO 170 Safire2\Sabre2\Pilot\Magellan will suite for you best. PS: Sorry, English not native.
  14. Dactyl looks like the original Rogallo wing. PZ-81 have the same plane shape, but it actually fricative canopy so it`s profile is triangle with almost flat top. CRW teams use it because it is harder to get this wing entangled, but that is matter to discuss. PZ-81 is somewhere in the mid between Rogallo wing and ParaCommander or UT-15.
