    Backsliding advice?

I'm no pro but what helped me was leaning back with my whole torso. At first I felt like I was leaning back way too far but video showed me that I was straight up-and-down.
  4. That's absolutely perfect! I don't know why I didn't find that before. Thanks so much!
  5. I just got a used Neptune for Christmas and I was wondering if there was an online manual or PDF that I could look at? I did a brief search (forums and internet) and all I found was a broken link to an online manual. Anything for a Neptune or a Wave would be much appreciated!
  6. I'm sure this has been asked before but: If the metal D-ring is that much better, why do we use pillows for our cutaway handle? Especially considering that you usually hear about "hard pulls" on the cutaway (due to extreme linetwists and such), not on the reserve pull. (This is not a charged question, just pure curiosity. I personally use a metal handle for my reserve ripcord.)
  7. He was probably supposed to rotate and present his belly to the relative wind.
  8. I think I remember reading or hearing somewhere that there's a jump club at Georgia Tech. I'm a Freshman at Emory University and it seems that I'm the only skydiver here. I don't have a car at school, but I have my rig with me and my logbook\jumpsuit\helmet\etc. I was curious if I am remembering correctly about you guys. If you do exist, do you jump at the Farm or do you use a different DZ?
  9. I had no idea that you were supposed to do that, but now I'll know for next time! As to pre-training: I was given a short (but thorough) briefing on the capewells and reserve. I pulled the capewells a few times to get used to the motions involved, and was reassured that the reserve did indeed have a spring loaded pilot chute.
  10. Jump #6. Bag lock due to a poor exit on my first Hop N Pop.
  11. She was just a few months ago in Birmingham, Alabama on tour with some musical, I think it was called Sweet Charity.
  12. Yeah the altimeter and the shoes were the only things I didn't have old-school replacements of. Fortunately I was able to find an old frap hat, jumpsuit, and goofy goggles! This was definately a great jump! I'm very glad that PC was there and that they let me jump it!
  13. Sorry for my inexperience but: What is a Tertiary?
  14. The trailer was for a movie called Cloverfield. Quick google search turned up: http://movies.monstersandcritics.com/news/article_1327382.php/Paramount_takes_wraps_off_Cloverfield
