  1. Katie and I will be there. Have to finalize a few flight/visa details but barring any major hiccups we'll be swooping up Brazil in no time
  2. No-one likes Paul. So that means he's a douche bag ps: See you at The Farm this weekend? pps: Bring your hottie wife-to-be, otherwise your kind isn't welcome
  3. So I was reading Wyat Drews profile in Skydiving and he had an Icarus NEOS 83 listed as his main. Any idea what that is? Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer

  5. Thanks for the all CAPS Yelling post Nick (btw I'm sending your DV tapes up to Dan and he'll give them to you hehe). It's official you can now post as loud as your car horn honks Jokes aside though, I agree with you that a PROPERLY executed deep brake to deep front risers approach has the potential to build more energy than a full flight approach. The tricky part is that it's easy for pilots to turn too early (a common error with this approach) and not enter the turn with as much speed as they could...ultimately resulting in a lessor swoop. Hope you're well bro! Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  6. Thanks for overstating the obvious there. I see you're not on your witty comeback game as usual To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  7. I think the word you're looking for is 'smallest' To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  8. Which is no different in a full flight approach For the sake of the discussion it's safe to assume sufficient altitude for either one To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  9. I find that 'going with her' is far more comfortable and easy than fighting her with risers. That said I do keep my hands on them and have saved myself from more than one spinner by catching her before she takes off. Sounds like a 'fun' mal , glad everything worked out ok. Blues! 10. I've never really been a huge Superman fan but I enjoyed the film. It wasn't spectacular but I didn't think it sucked either. It's certainly no Batman Begins or XMen2/Spidey2 but it's one of the better superhero movies out there IMO. I preferred it over any of the old Superman movies and really enjoyed the homage paid to the originals. I'd say go watch it in the theaters realizing it'll be fun but nothing out of this world. 12. and finally I'd like to make special mention of Katie Drennan (yes I realize I'm biased ) for laying down a 3.83 second speed run through the 180 foot carving course in 10-15 mph cross/headwind conditions. She is jumping a KA 107 loaded at 1.3 doing 180 degree turns. So for all you people on non-xbraced canopies 'holding off to compete' - get your asses to the nearest CPC meet and start laying down some runs

  16. Special thanks to everyone who participated, I'm sure the event organizer will post the results soon! It was a pleasure getting to meet all of you and spend some time with you all. It was great to see the level of piloting in the area continue to improve and you were all a pleasure to work with. A very special thanks to Skydive New England for holding the event, and making such an effort to keep everything flowing smoothly and well, despite some challenging weather early on in the day on Saturday. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season! Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  17. Jim, I'd have like to have made this one, but unfortunately it isn't going to happen. Will see you in Brazil. Safe meet everyone. Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  18. Blade is also fun. All depends what you're looking for but I think that list (plus the blade) is a good place to start. Blues, Ian To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
  19. If the pilot is experienced enough to hit gates, they are experienced enough to do Zone Accuracy. The most notable difference between intermediate accuracy and pro accuracy is what the judges will let a competitor get away with (typically the pro guys can do more without a warning or a red card). Being strict with safety guidelines, and informing competitors that they will be red flagged for any dangerous activity (dropping toggles, stalling, etc) should be enough of a deterrant. 25. Sweet, I was just notified that the large KA demo's are shipping out this week. I've not had a chance to look, or jump, the bigger ones so those that do jump them please post your experiences - I'm really curious what people think of them.
