  2. How old are you? What does it matter? If you grew up in a society that allowed your kids to go over to someone elses house be disrespectful to their parents, tear up the place, and not get disciplined then I feel sorry for you. I stated that kids make bombs of all types today also. Kallend replied that back in the day kids made bombs too. I followed that with it was a different time when parents/teachers/etc were allowed to handle those situations. Now its call the cops, call the cops, call the cops. Do you have a disagreement with this? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  3. Just like back in the day when you were a juvenile fucking up while at someone's else's house their parents had the right to snatch your ass up and give corrective actions. Today the cops would be called and someone would be going to jail for child abuse. Cops had the same right to whop a few kids who were into no good instead of hauling them off to jail. It's the pussification of America. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  4. Just because you made a statement that was wrong don't get all butthurt and make some some weak ass pa attack on people. I thought you were better than the rest. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  5. So. Now you are saying it is possible that we look back on this in the future and see that the police were really not as bad of a problem as we are making it out to be today. It was your thought process that was wrong, not me pointing it out. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  6. Many 14 year olds are missing fingers and hands from making bombs. Sparkler bombs Pipe bombs Co2 bombs Etc. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  7. Bear with me – first an analogy. On my original home DZ (small single 182 operation) as time passed, my best friend and I became (courtesy of attrition) the two most senior and experienced people. One day, the winds were squirrely and he and I stood in the landing area, checking the windsocks and anemometer. For over two minutes we discussed back and forth if we should ground the students, each seeking the opinion of the other. Suddenly, he remarked that if we were standing there having the lengthy discussion, that fact alone indicated it was problematic enough to make the decision really easy. I think all can agree that every western democracy has some people in law enforcement who are bad at their jobs, or even bullies. I think we could also agree that fortunately they are still in the minority of the total force. In general terms we don’t fear our police in Canada. I’m equally sure the Brits, Germans, Dutch, Kiwi’s, Swedes, et al do not generally fear their police forces. The fact that this forum continually demonstrates the very real concerns among average American citizens about their various enforcement agencies is akin to my analogy. If you are repeatedly debating it… it IS a problem. A much broader problem apparently than some here would understand. We are repeatedly debating obama so by that thought process he is a problem. 8. I hope someone who knows what they are talking about answers this, because I'm curious as well. I'm also curious, if a cop is wailing away at your head with their baton, is trying to shield your head with your arms "resisting"? What are you supposed to do in such a circumstance? Turn your head to make it easy for the cop to bash out all of your teeth? Don It's gonna suck. Part of me would really, really like to see one of these overzealous bullies attack someone who knows what they are doing (an MMA cagefighter would be good). Run up to them, no ID, no warning and just attack. The cop would be on the ground and bleeding in a heartbeat. The other cops would then run up, beat the hell out of the guy, arrest him for resisting, assault on a cop and whatever else they could make up. Without video of the incident and a really good lawyer, it will be a case of 3 cops' word against one "suspect". Who do you think is going to win that one? Courts have found that an innocent homeowner can use force against the cops in the event of them forcibly entering a home (no-knock search warrant executed at the wrong house, for example). But the poor guy who the cops attacked had his life pretty much destroyed in the process. The courts? Where do you get that? There was a guy who was just convicted for shooting a cop in a no knock situation. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  9. The case was damaged bent heavily in a picture I saw which looked like they used a disruptor on it but who knows, another case where we really dont know all the details. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  10. Not even gonna reply to what you stated you dont know how they got to the situation they were in when the video started. I will put it in terms of this exact website. When there is say a fatality under canopy there are people who will rush in and say something about how X shouldn't have hook turned, or something else when they have no clue the details early on. Then someone with sense will come in and say please keep speculation and names out until we know all the details and the family has been notified. Sometimes it is something completely different than a user induced fatality, and people delete post and look like idiots. Why isnt that same thought process used here especially when we enter a video that starts half way and not a single person here knows what the hell was truthfully going on besides a video from a bystander. 11. You escalate force with force is what our protocol was. You did not have to go step 1,2,3,4 if they went immedatly to 4 with a gun, but you were supposed to meet stick with stick, gun with gun etc. Thats why I question the rest of this incident. For all we know they were in a fist fight before this video started and he obtained compliance with his baton, and did him a favor by not shooting him like all the other cops we see doing. A bunch of cops showed up fast, and with a determined demeanor which means to me that the cop on the scene first called it in as pretty serious. It could have been for real or an over reaction by him. ONCE again we don't know that. Like I said before I am not making any judgement until we get all the details, and I am in agreement if it was Police abuse and brutality with you guys. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 13. Plain clothes deputy's here wear their badge under their shirt on a chain. They pull it out and center it on their chest and will loudly and clearly announce SHERIFFS OFFICE to identify themselves. This is a situation where they cannot get a marked unit en route due to exigent circumstances before they need to take action. Usually if it is known they will be addressing the public they will request marked units to come to the scene with them. We would roll in with them as they do whatever they needed to do. I have never heard an issue about our department doing this from the courts. I also question the idea of NON marked units on the interstate. I recently drove from La. to Atlanta,Ga. and the number of unmarked units (probably drug interdiction) was alarming. I know a local police department here Denham Springs if you want to look it up bought black cars and used black reflective letters for the lettering. This is for normal police patrol cars used daily, and I think it is dangerous and stupid to do so. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  14. Micheal browns friend also did not tell the truth so how can you take this video as the gospel. I will wait till we get the whole story. I get where you guys are coming from if it is the real deal, but going off full blast on this half ass story is lazy thinking. I posted something of greater substance above about getting down to accountability and it got 1 reply.....So I question the motives of those here. Do you want to discuss solving this "WTF is wrong with American police" problem, or just really want to bitch about it? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 15. In many instances, we don't need to see what led up to a situation to know it is wrong to: - punch an elderly women over 15 times when you already have her on the ground any you’re a large male in excess of 200 lbs. - press the knee and full bodyweight of a large adult male into the back of 14yr old girl in a bikini at a children’s pool party. - slam an elderly gentleman face first into the ground, when he did nothing but not understand English - shoot people in the back as run away (common occurrence of late) - shoot at cars when you don’t know who is in them - kick a pregnant woman - tackle and slam to the ground a person you “think” is the suspect (saying “my bad” after the event doesn’t make up for the error). - turn an incident of a 14yr old jaywalking into an event requiring 10 cops ... If you don’t have the self control and professionalism to not snap and “lose your shit” if someone makes even the slightest verbal slur to you – you should not be in law enforcement. I’ve lived in NY & Chicago; I know how the large city police departments are hotbeds of corruption and cover-up. I’ve also lived in small-town America and seen the genetic detritus that constitutes the local police force of your average hick town. Do you know if any of that happened before this video started? Who are you to assume that the kid did not start a physical altercation with the cop before the video started? What might that be? The fat cop was folding up that young guy, which was on his back .... giving up already. Then it needed 4 big dudes to smash the kid down. And some other cops were *protecting* the scene (from observers possibly filming the scene?). Ok you people keep jumping to conclusions without the entire story...smh For the record if the entire story does turn out to be abuse then I am with you, but it is stupid to be blowing up over this right now with a click bait video and half a story. You would figure after jumping to conclusions on another post a few weeks back and having to eat crow people around here would be more reserved about stories like this. 16. I'm not gonna watch your clickbait videos, we are talking about this video from the first post. IF the kid simply jaywalked and the cop said hey fuck you kid, threw him against the planter, pinned him down and hit him with the club without any provocation like the kid charging at him, hitting him then yes, but we don't have a fucking clue because we don't know what happened before the video started so all the posts you have posted above is nothing but irrelevant circlejerk cop hating. So I will ask you again do you or normiss who did the same thing already know what happened before this video started? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 18. Yea but that is going to happen in fresh or salt water, the sacrificial zinc gets eaten up here in freshwater land slower than boats on the coast tho. It eats the shit out of boat trailers too. Dunking the entire unit in a saltwater bath kills them even if it's galvanized it finds that little spot with missing plating and it's over. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 20. While we sit here and wait for the full story to come out, who here has heard any presidential canidate say they will put in place procedures that require police to report all shootings to the FBI or other top agency? I have said before to identify exactly how big of a problem you have you need to know the extent of it and stop going off wildly speculated numbers. On the fire side any fire where a hose line is pulled and water is flowed gets reported to the state fire Marshall who then send it up to someone else. We include things like if the house had smoke detectors, if they operated, and if it alerted the occupants, if there were sprinklers, any casualties or fatalities and the descriptions around that. As well as other good to know info. This is mandatory and is sent electronically. One other thing that always gets sent up is malfunctions of electrical equipment cars, etc. Say a stove short circuits, or a dryer catches on fire we record all the details and send it up so trends about faulty equipment can be recorded nationally. 21. They are different from cars... and those who mess about in them are best served to remember that Well 2 stroke outboards are defiantly different than cars for sure, but inboards engines are exactly like cars. Mercury mercruiser engine blocks are even made by GM, and used to be by ford but they kept changing too much for mercurys liking. Cars and land outdoor equipment don't like ethanol either but cars get driven enough and fresh fuel added that it isn't much of an issue. The same thing will happen to power equipment that happens to boats if it is not used. All power equipment at our department get a fuel stabilizer and treatment for all sorts of things, and is run for 15 minutes every 4 days to keep the fuel moving. Anything that is designed for long term storage HAS to be non ethanol fuel from the special gas station down at the depot. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 22. He diddnt make a clock from recycled electronics he took a working clock out of its case and slapped it back inside that little briefcase and said he made the clock. If he had taken a 555 IC, or made one with an arduino that would be more accurate. He slapped a cover on something that was already working and called it his. I'm not hating on the kid as you suggested by calling him a looser it's just something that was pointed out. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone.
