Well the me and her are pretty much over, but there was, as I suspected, someone else. Is it me or are all women all the same, or am I just having bad luck. Two years of my life down the drain. I usually am at the DZ about once a weekend, and usually i am too tired to go out afterwards, but the problem is basically skydiving espcially after I had 2 cutaways 4 days apart. Ths relationship is about to end, and I feel that trying to salvage would be unbeneficial. Any skydiving chicks within the S. florida area lurking these forums?? I am going to be take a FJC for BASE, and am considering buying this gear which is mentioned in the classifieds. I am just about the same height and weight as the person I am buying it from which should fit me well. Can any experienced jumpers tell me if I am getting a good deal or not? I brought my canopy home unpacked to work on my packing techniques, but I seem to have put a step-thru and cant seem to undo it. What is the proper procedure for removing a step thru? I was told by a jumper currently sponsored by Atair and a former one, that the Onyx has an extremely flat glide, but doesnt have good diving characteristics. I just received my 2002 WFFC DVD. I might have complained but I would say it was worth the wait. The DVD contains awesome footage and I actually come out in 2 clips. For anyone else who has yet to receive it, it is worth the wait. Just wondering how many birdman are going to attend the Panama City Swoop Competition and Boogie. I was told Chuck, Jairo, and Dan (diveout) will be there to flock. It has been more than 7 months since the WFFC took place. On Martini Shots website, an update on 12/23/02 says that the DVDs are in the authoring phase. I am starting to think that these guys are nothing but a scam to get our money. I have left numerous messages and no return call. Has anybody been in contact with Martini? The reason for PD Reserves packng slightly larger is because they are reinforced so much more than other reserves. Personally, just because it packs a little bigger than usual (not a whole alot) is no reason to compromise on safety. Spend the extra money and get a PD reserve. Just my 2 cents. We had a skydiving club at Florida International University, but the president disactivated the club, because of lack of interest. There were only 3 of us that were actively jumping, another 2 that just used the club to get the perks that Skydive Miami gave us. I have been thinking of restarting the club and actively recruiting, but with my class and work load it is very difficult. Thanks for your interest in our event. There's so much going on that week, that we've decided to call it our Spring Break Event. Anyone who registers can stat jumping from 1:00pm on Moday April 28th. We do not expect too many people other than competitors going for practice and a few early birds. The Advanced Series guys compete on Wednesday and Thursday. The Pro Series Guys compete Thursday and Friday. The official welcome party will be at the club Wednesday Night with a wine and cheese party......after that there's a session with DJ WillFull from Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Boogie is expected to take off on Thursday and go through Sunday. Saturdayt night we will have our biggest party part of which will be judging entries for the films of the Swoop Festival. The other aspects of the Swoop Festival are daily and nightly seminars, and some evenings with special guest speakers, and having the major manufacturers on site for demos and product education. Of course the meet and theme of the entire event is around the Swoop Festival. The aircraft (Skyvan + Caravan or Otter), will take off from the Panama City Airport about 10-12 minute drive. $20 jump tickets include the bus ride to the airport. There will also be two helicopters that take off near the site. The helo price is between $36 - $40. The Summit is right next door, and is offering a deal on the 1 bedroom sizes. These are condos, not hotel rooms, so its quite luxurious. There are also 2 and 3 bedroom suites. The rates for a beachside condo is amazing. Four people can share a one bedroom for $30 each per night. There are plenty of hotels and everything else anyone might need all around the location. Check out the condos at www.summitcondo.com.
