  1. Sebastian will NEVER be the same without DL and Val around!!!! Here is an edit I made in commemoration of the Sebastian Eastside crew! I was fortunate enough to take a group trip to Costa Rica this March with DL and Val along with some other amazing people. We were all lucky to have DL as a friend indeed......he was a good 'ol boy that had a heart of gold and the quickest come-backs I've EVER heard. Missing him dearly......Blue Skies DL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4L0UtKoVwk
  2. A NON-STOP flight? I could only find a reasonable flight for april 5th. Apparently the weekend before (3/28) is springbreak and the flights were like a $1000 non-stop from Miami to Chicago....What web-site are you using to find a flight that cheap?
  3. Very nice Oh, by the way, the breeder will NOT ship the puppy. I personally have to have someone pick her up. Last case, I'll take the 3 hour flight to/from on the same day. A flight is like $250 or so...not bad - just a day of travel that sucks.
  4. What I need is for someone to meet the breeder at the airport and take the dog (in a dog carrier) on the flight with you down to Florida. I will pay for the extra cost for the airline. I will meet you at the Florida Airport and pay whomever the $100 for bringing the pup to me. Also, the dog carrier counts as a piece of carry-on luggage.
  5. I bought a puppy from a chicago breeder and was going to fly up and meet her at the airport to fly right back down to Miami (same day). I'm willing to pay $100 for the SAFE courier of this pup. She is a 2-3 lb shih tzu puppy. Would prefer flights into West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale and the BEST would be into MIAMI. Would have to be for the dates of 3/28 weekend or the first weekend in April. YOU MUST be Responsible and love dogs and it must be a NON-STOP flight. I will be VERY picky about who can do this. I love her already
  6. Well, the show was FREAKING AWESOME!!! I am so PROUD of all my girls - they ROCK!!! The weather WAS poopy but we had around 70-100 people for the dinnner & party! Skydive Miami

I live in Miami and definitely go to SDM if I don't feel like driving up to Sebastian ----BUT-----and it's a big "but", I don't go with the idea that I will get in a lot of jumps. It's usually at least 1-2 hour wait once we get there to get on a load. The staff is SUPER - very helpful & friendly. I would feel very confident on recommending an interested student to learn there (although the rates are higher than other places). Safety is first - this place is strictly by the book!
  20. I absolutely have been looking forward to this boogie since the day after the Naughty Cupid boogie - which is what got me HOOKED on Skydive Sebastian with it's awesome views/jumping and G-R-E-A-T vibes. Proud to say it is my home DZ now! Anyway, I digress…….We are SO going to tear it up this year! Mel, I volunteered myself as a potential "screen" dancer (the silhouette behind the white sheet kinda thing) for the ~show~. I can't WAIT to see you and Jason and give you a congratulatory hug for tying the knot!!!
  21. Skydive Miami raised their tix from $20 to $22 in Jan. (altitude to 12,500 most of the time) They also raised the cost for the staff jump tickets. Therefore, packers started charging $1 more for pack jobs - up from $5 to 6$. That was it for me. I REFUSE to pay almost $30 (after tip to packer) for each jump. I bit the bullet and pack myself now - plus I jump less there now. 4 years ago I was paying $15 (to 14,000) at Skydive America in Pahokee....wow, have times changed!
  22. After becoming DZ orphans (we used to jump at Skydive America in Pahokee) my husband and I stumbled around to different DZ's without much enthusiasm. We'd jump and go home. No real vibes or after sunset hanging like we were used to. In my opinion, skydiving is so much about the culture AND the Jumps. One without the other is only 1/2 as fun. A friend talked us into making the almost 3 hour drive to Sebastian and camping out for the night. What a change this has made for us! The DZ kicks butt! It's all about the people - which are way cool. We party at night then stumble to our tent. The showers are CLEAN and are STINK FREE. I guess they fixed the water thing...The town is also very cool - there are nice places to eat with water views and it's not expensive at all (compared to Miami prices....). The best part is the awesome vibes. We are know proud to call Sebastian our HOME DZ.
