Hey J. I owe you an apology for the email I sent. I am sorry for the tone. I have been spending the last few years building my reputation and I freaked out when I saw the scam label. I am happy that you responded to my post of who I am. I have been contacted by some of the companies I deal for. they have been contacted by potential customers of mine to determine if I am a dealer or a scammer, so I guess the scam label works. Hey everyone, I noticed that all of my ads in the classifieds were flagged as scams. I replied to the email link to clear this issue up but that doesn’t help me to clear my reputation. I would like to reintroduce myself. My name is Michael Bowen. I have been a wind tunnel instructor since January of 05 and I am one of the most senior employees at SkyVenture Orlando. I am also one of the head managers for SkyVenture Orlando. I have flown in 80% of the wind tunnels in the US I am sponsored by PD and have been since 2006 I am 2k composites number 1 dealer in the US. I am also an authorized dealer for Alti-2 and SkySystems USA. I have been on these forums for many years and many members here know me Sorry I sound the way I do it’s just that I need to clear myself. Hey Mike, your welcome man. I stand corrected, I guess 2k is installing the new cutaway for customers. in the past it was up to the customer to install it. Thanks for that selling point, I must have missed that. My FF3 has the old school style cutaway.. I am curious about the hypeye though. I just sold a half dozen helmets to the US Air Force and the Hypeye wouldn't fit. are we talking about the Pro D? Are you paying a coaching fee? if so who gets that money? the tunnel or the guy? are you just paying for time and he offered to help out? how many sessions in the tunnel and how spaced out are they? Pros: - "The MXV helmet is priced lower than the FF3, $370 versus $530 respectively. Though, the cost of the cameras makes the FF3 a less expensive setup." --------------------------------------------------------------------- I am a dealer for 2k and as of right this minute the FF3 at full price will run you 456.00 shipped, if dealing directly through 2K. Some dealers sell them for less... That comes complete with a cutaway, "D-box" or claim shell and a paint job. Shipped. I just priced a MXV with a cutaway, paint job and shipping and it will run you 470 shipped. Now the FF3 is complete where as the MXV needs extra mounting sources like a black box. The TGI black box runs 199.00 so now your Cookie set up cost you 670.00 USD For that price come see me for a top mount set up. As far as weight, they are both in the same league. the MXV is 14 oz and the FF3 is just over a pound. add the black box and mounting hardware to the MVX and they both will weight the same i'm sure I will have to agree with the wait time. the FF3 will take a little longer to get to you. it depends on how backed up with orders they get. 4 or 5 weeks was the norm a few weeks ago. usually it takes about 3-4 but I keep sending them multiple orders at a time so longer wait times happen. -Bowen Retired Tunnel Instructor, Sky/Tunnel Coach Former dealer for 2k Composites, Skysystems, Alti-2, Wings

I would say 5 to 10 bucks. Parallax issues are there regardless. I have a FF3 as well as a Vapor Wes Pro, you'll get the same issues. If you have it set up so that both cameras are converging on the same location close up, it will go criss-cross at further distances. One suggestion would to be to get some really wide lens. I would look into a wide prime still lens, and a royal .20 for your sony. Hey guys, The prices at 2k are increasing due to manufacturing and other related cost. This will go into effect on October 1st, 2008. On a positive note, 2k is launching a new helmet called the Fuzion. The fuzion has been under development for some time now and it is debuting soon. It should be (don't quote me) priced less than the Tonfly CC1. I'll update this thread when there is more solid info. Check out 2k's website with in the next couple of days for some pics.
