  1. Here in Australia we get wine in boxes. Wine from boxes is not so bad when you compare it to Passion Pop. I guess only Australians would know what I am talking about. Passion Pop is alcoholic passionfruit flavoured "wine", you buy it in a bottle, not a box. It gives you the NASTIEST hangovers. Last time I saw it in my local bottle shop, it was going for $3.95 a bottle. It has been a LONG time since I resorted to Passion Pop. Success is never final and failure never fatal. 2. Cock sucking cowboy: butterscotch schnapps with a baileys floater. Absolutely fabulous to drink. [another slight threaad highjack] Once I shocked my PhD superviser by ordering it at the bar when we were celebrating after I successfully presented my work at a rather large conference. He was buying the round and asked what I wanted, I told him and to his credit, he ordered it and came back with the drinks! [/slight thread highjack] Success is never final and failure never fatal. 3. might is the key word here.... Normally you would at least have to buy me dinner, but you know what they say about rabbits... And now I am leaving before I say anything else that may ruin my otherwise pristine reputation. Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. Tiltonood

  6. I keep wondering what everyone else is going to turn up in. Costumes have been a deeply gaurded secret. I mean, com'on, things that start with B? Ballerina? Banana? Bitch? One of my favourite costume parties of all time was when we were required to come dressed in an outfit that cost collectively less than $5 (including shoes). Wearing things that people had given to you (ie you got for "free") didn't count. It was so funny, everyone went to the local charity stores and found the most fabulously strange old suits and dresses. Lots of fun. Success is never final and failure never fatal. 7. At the risk of being exhiled.... *NEWSFLASH* Vegemite is horrid. All us Aussies know that. Only the stoners eat it. Marnite is not that much better, but I do admit that the UK version is far superior. Have you guys tried Promite? Tastes SO much better than vegemite. Spread a thin layer on a nice buttered crumpet and it is HEAVEN. Good for a hangover. Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. Tiltonood
  8. Thanks! I will...I think. I am dressed as a bunny rabbit and about to go out and mix with the general population. I hate it when friends decide to get all wacky and tell people to come to the party in custome! The birthday girl's name in Belinda, so we all have to go as something starting with the letter B. So if you see a slightly less than sober girl in a bunny outfit tonight, be nice to her. Buy her a drink. Tell her that her shoes look hot. DO NOT touch the tail! 9. I had the same problem today. Except my excuse was that I was hung over. So I didn't clean, I didn't cook, I didn't go for a swim. I slept in then I sat on my ass in my pjs all day and gave myself a facial and talked to friends. The only reason I am dressed now is I am about to go out and earn tomorrow morning's hang over. Your Brain

Oh no! I got addicted to this game and now the link doesn't go to the game anymore! Is it being fixed now or is there a problem? Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. Tiltonood
  11. I was reading this on the way home from a particularly bad day at work, and it made me laugh. I need to get me one of these Macaws. It would mean I pretty much could let the parrot do the talking to my mostly pesky co-workers, leaving me free to actually get some work done. The donkey, however, can stay the hell where it is. ------------ ANIMAL ACTS A parrot has been put into isolation and made to listen to respectable BBC Radio 4 after swearing repeatedly at distingished vistors, Anananova reports. Barney, a five year old Macaw, turned the air blue when a civic party toured an animal sanctury at Nuneaton, Warwickshire. He told the mayor to "f**k off" before turning to a woman vicar and saying "you can f**k off, too", the website quoted the Gaurdian as reporting. The sancturay's owner, Geoff Grewcock, said: "to their credit, the didn't take offence and laughed it off; and luckily, so did two policemen who were told "and you can f**k off too, wankers".' Mr Grucock said the Radio 4 treatment "wasn't really working yet, but he is a very funny parrot with a lot of character, and he does say "thank you" whenever he does get a treat.' In Croatia, a randy donkey has been banished to a deserted island after harassing female donkeys in a national park. The donkey, Aga, used to badger his favourite mares for sex as often as six times a day. Park officials acted after tourists complained that whenever they visted the park all the donkey seemed to be doing was trying to have sex. Park officials say the rest of the herd seems happier and healthier since Aga has been shipped off to the deserted island of Dugi Otok. -------------- Ha ha ha ha. Ha. True or False

Ok, I officially have WAY too much time on my hands... From a AH fan site: Did Hitchcock have a belly button? Believe it or not but I get this question all the time. Answer: Hitchcock being a mamal had to be born with a belly button, its just how it is for us mamals. Apparently Hitchcock had several opperations in the belly area leading his doctors to sow up the bb, but I have never read this from a credible printed source. I suspect its an bizarre urban legend. Edited to add: it might be a more credible source if the above didn't have spelling mistakes and bad syntax. source Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. 13. I am not going to to write your ideas and opinions off. I think the world needs a bit more hippy-tree-hugging talk. However while I do believe the mind is powerful and mindset can make a huge difference in the outcome of many diseases, I also believe that we are a long way from realistically doing away with drugs, if we do ever. In other words, it is a powerful idea and a nice concept, but I am not sure if it is based in realitity. Edited to add: Are you talking about doing away with drugs to treat mental illmess or drugs to treat all disease? Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. 14. Oh I certainly do! And it's not hope, it's knowledge. I know that disorders can be 'cured' via will and will alone. Moreso, just sort of 'cease to exist' as oppose to exist needing to be cured. It just involves a butt-load more positive thinking. It must first become common knowledge... the 100th monkey phenomenon to make it real. OK, I'll bite....how do you KNOW that all disorders can be cured by will alone? On what evidence do you make this statement? What is this "100th monkey" theory that you speak of? If you are going to make a statement that is, at least in my humble opinion, completely idealistic and unrealistic with no real understanding of the factors of disease control, then you must back it up. Kinda reminds me of Tom and his self proclaimed extensive knowledge of psychiatry. Success is never final and failure never fatal. It's courage that counts. George F. Tiltonood
  15. One of my cousins is Alby Mangle. Ol' Alby had a tv show here in Australia while I was growing up (not so long ago ) which was all about surviving in the bush. He was sort of like the original crocodile hunter. Scary huh? His show sort went bust after a while. Last I saw of him was at a relative's wedding. He was throwing up in the potplant out the front of the reception hall. Ohhh, and I served Bill Clinton dinner one night. He was a guest at a dinner which was being catered for by a company that I worked for while I was at university. Security in black suit everywhere. Success is never final and failure never fatal.
