  1. im not sure if theyve already run the background check, but in years past, you can only purchase someone elses slot if you had attend a bridge day prior, and competed the bg check then... maybe check w/ base428 or the vertical visions website...

  2. heres a take:.base is fucking dangerous, inherently stupid, and altogether unnecessary, and women have the presence of mind to recognize this, and stay away thus preserving themseleves with thier maternal instinct..
or maybe it just takes balls, and most women dont have them...
(but the ones who have what it takes to base without are so incredibly beautiful that maybe its a goodthing they are so few and far between...)

  3. for whatever reason ive found that its infinitley easier for me to just take a deep breath and commit than it is to stand there, contemplating, and then count down 5,4,3,2,1, yada yada yada,... but thats just me...

  4. in the neighborhood for a few days, would love to flik somethin, get high, or just catch a ride to the dz for a wingsuit flight or two... 904.449.8081 or a pm would be cool.. late -b

  • your best option is land on dry ground, dont fuck up, get stoked, pack up, and scramble to the top for another, all in the rain and 40 degree air.. the water is cold...

  • i heart base... every aspect.... you couldnt write this shit...;)

seriously tho... turn it back a notch.. no need to go choosing teams and telling anyone to fuck themselves...

adressed to noone in particular, but weve got some of the "big names" in base acting like kids...

    $14 to 4K? WTF? thats ridiculous[:/]

Yes, but...Moab is 4025 MSL (assuming the airport is about that too). Mesquite is 2028. Takes a little more fuel to get higher at a higher start.

someone here knows what theyre talking about....factor in the heat and it can raise the densitiy altitude as well... i was in moab in june on vacation (sort of) and was more than happy to pay 22$ to go to 8500 ft AGL..add 8500 to 4025 and your in a cessna @ 13,000 feet msl.. factor in a density altitude of 6200 feet and your really burning up some fuel...and currency... so, maybe you ripping on a dz youve never been to in a public forum is a bit less than intelligent... i cant wait to go back, turbine or no... its like skydive jurassic park, or mars or something... it just seems like a different planet...

  • i would have posted this in gear/rigging but dont believe they would be familiar enuff w/wlo's... anyway.. besides the obvious advantages, what disadvantages do you see to this set-up? unseen advantages? your opinions please..thanx -b

  • well.. you obviously know me.. and my skill set:S..the issue here is confidence.. in this sport, and all its disciplines, you either have what it takes or you dont.. numbers dont equal expiereince, and vice versa..i guess im just not as good as you...:P
edited to add- im not trying to get into a dick-showing off contest here... just attempting to provide relevant information for someone considering thier first wingsuit flights... if you have pleanty of tracking expierence, want a little more performance, and feel confident in the air 90% of the time.. try a prodigy... if you are of the weak-kneed or lean towards the more conservative type, stick with the classic... (and dont forget to undo your booties before you flare..lest you eat shit.. and ive witnessed this happen to jumpers with 3times as much expierence as i...) but thanks for your valuable input nonetheless....;)

  • put my first jump on the prodigy.only having flown two different suits, classic and prodigy, i have to say there is almost no comparison.. the prodigy blows the classic away ten fold... i especially liked the leg wing, and not having to unzip/buckle anything for landing, 80% of full range of motion in the legs (for walking to plane, gearing up, running out landing etc..) i also liked the lack of booties, replaced with the buckles or lace straps, whatever you want to call them... (put the suit on and youll see waht i mean)
another very cool feature was the ability to reach the risers immediatley... no unzipping, although if you wanted full range of motion you need to unbucke the wings as well..(again, wear the suit and youll see what i mean..) .. hats off to the phoenix crew for such a killer product...
the only cons i found were i thought the zippers could maybe be beefed up a bit, and it might be a bit twitchy for low-time jumpers... but then again these arent really suits designed for lowtimers anyway... if youre not confident, maybe you should stick to tracking dives and classiks...i dunno:)
this post wasnt particuarly in response to anyone..just kickin my ante into the pot.. take it as you will....
