Has anyone here replaced the main recoil ripcord system of a tandem sigma? *I wonder if it is possible to replace only the 33" 1/8" bungy? How is the bungy attached, is it sewn to the spectra line or attached some other way? I'm asking this because I would like to know if I can replace the bungy in field and which tools I need to bring. I don't have any sigmas at home I can look at and I can't tell from the manual. -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --

Are there any circumstances that would make you choose to track further than planned to avoid collision with people above you, i.e. because of a messy break off on a jump where you are below others? Even if it might make you low so you need to pull reserve. Or do you think pulling your main at the right altitude always is higher priority than making the risk of freefall/canopy collision smaller? -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --

My insurance covers base jump accidents, except if I use drugs and that is the cause of the accident. Illegal and careless jumps are included, except one case: I get less money if it is a "coarsely careless act" (don't know the correct english word). A court must find me guilty of doing something very careless that lead to the accident. I must have exposed another person to a very big risk, or been extremely ignorant to my own life or health. It is very serious and uncommon. Example: I'm attempting armed robbery, and get shot by the owner of the store. Example of an act that's not coarsely careless: If I break my neck when I dive into shallow water, even though there were signs telling me that the water was shallow and diving forbidden. I have a hard time imagine a base jump I would like to do, that would be considered "coarsely careless". I also don't jump when I'm drunk. So unless I forgot to read any parts of the insurance agreement, I think I always have accident insurance for jumping. -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --

I had problem to get a grip of my reserve handle because of baggy clothes. When I finally pulled it, I was low and cypres fired during reserve deployment. I've learned that it was easier than I thought to have my clothes cover my handles. And also easier than I thought to grip both the handle and some fabric of my jumpsuit, especially in full speed when the mlw is tight to the jumpsuit. And the biggest lesson, it was easier than I thought to make a bad risk assessment. -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --

I assume I might have lost altitude awareness by asking myself "do i need to pull my reserve now" every time I look at my altimeter. If the needle is in the action area: "pull reserve" on my altimeter my plan is to pull reserve. After I started training this mentally in different ways, I have been low once and I went straight for reserve. I think the hardest part of the mental training for this emergency procedure is for my ego to honestly believe in the scary thought that I could have fucked up. but at least this part get easier the more jumps and more mistakes I make. -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --

Does anyone have a picture of a "wrap around" style tailpocket (standard on Troll and Vertigo canopies I've heard). I would like to compare that design to the tailpocket I have on my Fox. the design is drawn in illustrator. i've started to do that. so that can be watched and easily changed. by "building" it i meant to make the design to actual web pages. i will do that next week, when i have chosen which design i want. sorry, i just don't know what the right words.

I think it is bought from paragear. At least they call it Velcro, and on their web page they only have one kind of velcro to choose from. What different kinds of velcro are there to use for skydive gear? -- "If you can dream it, you can DO IT!" --
