  1. Hi Jim,
'Sorry to hear. 'You and your mom are in my prayers. Not if, but when you will need someone to talk to I'm here, 24/7. 'Just me and the cats, and I'm a light sleeper.

  2. Hi Dari, Kenny and the rest a' ya'll,
Go to by Mike Vanderboegh and War on Guns by Dave Codrea, 'Ya can link to Daves blog from sipsey. If you really want some info on the subject, go ask Brian Terry, Border Patrol Agent, and Jamie Zapatta, ICE agent, they'll fill you in. Hmmmmmmmmm?? Funny though, it's the way Barry likes it,"Dead men tell no tales!!!" Buddy, this ain't "Watergate!!"

Jump numbers do not always equate to experience or common sense. There seems to be a small segment in society that refuses to learn from the past. I think it is a combination of arrogance and ego or they are just fucking stupid. It’s always been that way and probably always will.

    Hi Mike,
'Ya seem to hit the nail square on the head!! Sad but true. Your statement goes right along with your,"You are not now nor will you ever be......"

  4. Hey Bud,
'Know what ya' mean. It's tough. 'One thing to be a newby and bubbling over with enthusiasm over the sport and have people react like you say, but when yer' an old fart and ya' still get the same treatment, there's gotta' be a catch. I was a whuf once, before I made my first jump, we all were!!!! I don't remember being so upset over some one else being a skydiver when I was still a whuf?? Don't really know what to say. Most whuffs I've known over the years weren't that nasty, 'sept a few but it only takes a couple to raise an eyebrow! 'Insecure bastards can't deal with their own fear or what ever?? So they lash out at us to try to bolster their own inadequate personality. I really don't give a flying fuck if they skydive or not and I don't care if they give a shit if I do or not!! I don't jump for them, I jump for "ME!!" That's why cutaway handles were invented.

  5. Hi ace,
Yer right! The "Q" is why did it roll to the right?? Perhaps when he went unconscious and fell forward on the stick he pushed it to the right?? Just guessin'?? Only Jimmy really knows and he ain't talkin'.

  6. Hi "ace,"
"All for the want of a 'Trim Tab!!" Seems like the "Little things" can get ya' into the most trouble. Couple that with the built up speed he had comming around pylon 8 and headding for the home pylon! Look at the "Props!!" Their pitch angle indicates one hell of a lot on manifold pressure and that also means a hell of a lot of torque. Ya' got torque, ya' got Roll!! What "ak" said about "Voodoo in '98" also adds a bit more 140 octane to the fire. 'Just my musings.

'Ya gotta remember one thing, when yer pushin' Pylons at high speeds and ya' left all the "Red Lines" sittin' on the ramp, yer not out for a Sunday ride!! It's a "Risky Business!" That was the name of Bill Rheinschils's P-51D, Unlimited Race # 45.

  7. Hi T-L,
"Leg Kicking??" Hmmmmm..... 'Buncha' comments from, "In yer face," to "WTF is he/she doing???" Oh well? After hangin' round' this sport for over 40 years I can only say that nothing amazes me anymore. Kicking legs can mean "ANYTHING!!" from "Hi There!!" to "I got my nutz caught!!(he) to My leg straps are sliding up my slit(she)!!" or whoknozwhat?? If I'm 200yds away from someone under canopy and they are kickin their legs cuz they're worried that I might run into 'em, Oh well!! Perhaps another means of "Signaling" should be thought of. As Old Frank Goodman of "Mjr. Goodies Parachute Team, Baton Rouge, La." used to do, Take along a .45 cal. 1911 A-1 loaded with tracers to "Signal his whereabouts!!!" Now that'll get yer attention!!

'Ya see the casualties all over the place!! And now theyare walking these thngs into Mexico?? These nut cases are crazier than I ever thought!@!

  9. Hi "Nick!!,"
Lifzabitch!! Try being a guy growing up with the first name of "Arpad" and being the only "Hunky" (Magyar) kid in a Catholic school full of Dagos!! 'Passin' around the log book for signatures at a dinner lurk some bunch of years ago at old Elsinore, Al "Captain Hook" Krueger remarked when he read my name on page one,"Arpad!, I'll bet that was a real character builder when you were growing up!!" Suck it up cupcake "couldn't resist sayin' that" you coulda' been named "Arpad!" like me.

  10. Hi nut,
That caveat..you "Can't" jump solo after your 3 solo jumps is "B-S!!!!!!!!" What if you want to do classic style jumps?? 'Kinda hard to do LT/RT/BL/etc with a coach hangin' on to ya'!! What if ya' wanna' go out long and practice "Trackin'!!??" 'Ya don't need a wing suit to get a good track goin' and they are fun! Also, Trackin' and pop a back loop. Get a track goin for a few seconds and bring your arms up and forward, look up and tuck your knees!! Do a quick back loop and pull out back into the track!! Good fun, good practise and a good confidence building manuver!! Also hard to do if a coach is hangin' on to ya'. Low on $$?? at least solo jumps keep you in the air and there are things you can do!! Another thing about this "Coach Only" stuff is there are other jumpers who may or may not have Instr., JM, Coach or othrer ratings but none the less are "Qualified Skydivers!!" and would gladly jump with you for no other reason than "Just For FUN!!!!!!!!!!" Isn't that what the he2xl this Sport is suppose to be about???

  11. Hi Kev,
Sorry to hear. From the sounds of your post it seems that you are not in the U.S. If you were, I'd say screw them, find a Rigger examiner designee and go for your FAA Senior riggers ticket. Here the FAA only requires 20 packjobs of one type (Chest, Back and/or Seat) to get your senior rating. Keep us posted on your progress.

AAD or no AAD....that is the question.
These things really hold their value so well!
$1,400 new Cypress or $1,100 two year old used, never fired.

Well there are always those Argusus's things....

But I do need A suit...tired of "Barrowing"

    Thoughts?

    Hi ah-2,
If you have AAD then I suggest you find a good doctor or phychiatrist to try to cure you before you jump. AAD is a serious disease!!!!!! You can get killed jumping with that shit. As for borrowing a jumpsuit, jump in your patch pants and a sweatshirt or just jump nude. It's still summer and you won't freeze your balz off, just not yet.

I have my Cardinal Puff card signed by Pope Dale Doza and a kamakizi Cardinal card signed by none othar than Mike "Frenchy" Babineaux!! "WTF ever became of him?????????????????? 'Made it thru the rituals and was glad to get that far!! Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal!! 'However, the rank of Pope was only granted for the remainder of the current calendar year and "HAD!!" to be re done in the month of January!! That's 64 ozs. of beer in a 10 minute time limit!! Howz yer liver these daze??

If that 3 was a jumpship in the 60s or 70s there is probably enough coke in the floor seams to resell and reduce the cost a bit. ;)
