  1. Yes, he did. There is some type of people, whom i can't understand. And he said he had 300 jumps or smth. I'll try to choose my companions better, in the future..
  2. btw sorry for my horrible english ..
  3. I was offered to jump with one skydiver, who came from another dz. I did not knew his skills, but i agreed. When we exited i came to my belly and he was sitting. Exit altitude was about 5000 feet (quite low, yeah?). Even on my belly i was still falling faster then he, and i went down right under him. At about 2700 feet i wanted to pull, but looked above me, and saw him right above. Then tried to track away, but he started tracking right the same way i did. 2000 feet. I look, and decide to pull because of my altitude. My chute opens 5 meters near him, and he opens at 1800 feet maybe. Did i have to track more, or pull anyway ( as i chose) because of my altitude? I know, if i had better skills, i could manage to get away, so he would not be above me, but...
  4. right point - i think it is good practice to have good rw skills and then try ff and so on. How many DZ's u will visit, having rw skills will let you to jump with new people and not screwing up :)
  5. You can jump, brake it even more, and then the whole season will be over imho.
  6. usualy we just do bigger intervals between exits. I find it fun. But falling 3 km in the clouds of rain and snow is not so fun as it may seem to
  7. hi, i'd like to know is there let's say just a basic checklist of maneuvrs, you can easily do with your canopy before downsizing canopy?

  9. Few weeks ago I had my first cutaway too - i had 39 jumps then, and my main canopy was russian po-16, and my reserve was z-5 hanging in the front of me ;) i opened my main at about 3000 feet and saw my medusa (i don't know how it is called in english - the thing u throw out which pulls out your main canopy) turning around right corner of my canopy. Then it started to colapse, and got hard right turn. I wasn't scared too, because was waiting for my cutaway and i knew i would not screw up. So i looked at my reserve ring - and... here we go! i was hanging with my reserve fully deployed at about 2000 feet i guess. The only bad thing was, winds were about 10-15 m/s, and i hit the ground really hard with my uncontrolled reserve z-5 .. wooff!!! I'm alright anyway...
