So I guess this rumor stays a rumor and nothing more
-
Just heard the rumor that there will be a wind tunnel in Berlin next year or 2014 latest... Does anyone have some more information? Size, location?
Cheeers,

A space shuttle on the streets - some guy jumping from space without a shuttle... WTF happened with this world?? -
NICE!!
My questions:
How many seconds will the photo burst mode (30fps) work? What resolution?
How does the simultaneous photo/video feature work and what kind of resolution can you shoot while using both?
Does it perform better in low light situations?
Can you change the lenses now to make it less wide/fisheye? -
Here is the POV Footage, incl. the nasty flatspin on his back where he luckily got out of after some tries:

He just said in his first interview that there were problems with the visor heating indeed. That's the reason why he pulled early. -
If I understood correctly he said in freefall: "My visor is smoking as hell" I think he meant "fogging" and that is probably the reason why he pulled early..
He was stable, below 13000ft and good to pull. He knew if he pulls now he is good and can still barely see something and/or flip his visor from here and fly safely to ground.. Just my assumption in this case.. -
304km/h ?
Uhm.. well WOW!
Never guessed that we can also have this kind of speed horizontally.. Did you calculate the wind out?
Can a wingsuit flyer achieve this kind of speed? -
Atmonauti is a playful way of flying in a certain angle, speed and body position. These are not set in stone, so just go out and play!
For the basics in Atmo just ask some experienced freeflyer for help. Anyone can do it! -
Create a trademark out of yourself, something like "the flying monk". Create logos, T-shirts, mugs and stuff and get some TV show pay you for your AFF. This will get some attention for the good cause and your course will get paid. -
QuoteWhat DZ is that and what country?! Amazing scenery.
Yes, it's truly amazing there! One of the most beautiful places in Germany. It's over the Island Sylt, in the very north, near Denmark. -

I jumped a cessna, with the little handles at the door, and held on to that. Broke my left hand ring finger as I exitted, my finger got stuck in the little V part of the handle. 6weeks lesson.
OUCH!
Another thing I noticed in my video.. When your left brake isn't set, your canopy will most likely spin to the left on opening, while when it's flying it will slowly turn right. Weird, but logical when you think about it.. -
Quote
I'd also suggest SETTING both brakes.
Good point!
Took us a while to figure that out.. At first we thought it was a brake fire. Nope. The brake was never set. Why? Most probably a packing error from my side.. -
QuoteMy 2 cents -
I'd stow that excess brake line! Loose brake line has a habit of looping around toggles, kill lines, other risers etc.
I usually do this, but in this case it somehow came loose or I pulled it out while (unnecessarily) grabbing the risers.. I am extra cautious now while stowing the excess. -
QuoteOh boy, an arm-chair critic opportunity. People in this forum LOVE this stuff.
I knowQuote
Where the heck did your slider go? I saw grommets, and it didn't look like a removable slider...
I pulled it behind my head. Not good in this situation..Quote
Do you have a third riser for your brake line?
Yes, it's called triple riser, a relict from the past.. I don't know if many people still use this. -
On my last skydiving trip I did a stupid thing, which could have led to a serious problem..
I am sharing this, so maybe someone can learn from this and prevent this from happening.

If you have a problem with your main canopy, try to fix it first, before you think about other things, like stowing your slider
I reviewed this video and found a lot iof mistakes from my side. Let's see how many you can find
I learned a lot from DZ.com, so I just wanted to add this to the knowledge base.
Nothing happened, except an outlanding because of that.. -
I think the deceleration from a freefall vmax into cardboard boxes would be so heavy, that you would die from internal injuries as a result. But I might be wrong. Who tries it first? -
So, here is the landing from the cameraflyers perspective... Original Footage.

The last bit of swooping the suit before impact was perfectly timed. Even some boxes in front of his impact point popped up, giving me the impression that there probably even was a little bit of ground effect involved.. I may be wrong here, perhaps someone with a better physics degree can chime in
